I was given this as a leaving present, as a kind of joke, but my colleagues didn't realise I've always loved ants and really wanted one of these for ages! I wasn't disappointed. This is a well-designed product which provides hours of entertainment and fascination. I've seen all sorts of strange things going on in my Ant World: ants moving things around then back again like women designing a living room with furniture, a brutal murder when an ant I thought had escaped turned out to clearly be from outside (i.e. it was killed within minutes of entry), and interesting preferences for lunch: fruits not as popular as one might think, honey, other insects and even nuts proving popular on the menu. As avid players of number Rummikub we discovered the Word version. While waiting to acquire a Word Rummikub game we used the letters from a Scrabble set which led us to score using the Scrabble value for each letter. Thus the highest scoring word is not neeccessarily the longest. We have found this more fun. I have written the value of the letter on the bottom of the tiles in indelible pen.
We have played with a theme where every word has to relate to the chosen theme. This is harder than it would seem. Try it, it's totally adictive. Make up your own variations.
