I was looking for a replacement for my travel magnetic scrabble as the letters on that tend to fall off as the glue holding the letter to the magnet melts in the heat. Apart from that, it was a well designed set which was compact and everything fitted into the board when not being used.
This version is much bigger. The board opens on one side (not on both as per other reviewers - maybe they have changed the design) to hold the racks and any unplayed tiles while played tiles can simply remain on the board.
My main gripe is that shuffling the tiles on the rack is not easy as they are quite a tight fit. I m anticipating losing a few tiles before long.

This game is excellent. My 2 children (age 9 and 11) love to play, and so do the adults! In an age when teenagers and young adults can't string a sentence together, this is a great way of getting the kids used to having to think about how to express themselves and if the first way doesn't work, think out of the box. Highly recommended - hours of fun and laughter.

This is ( in my opinion ) one of the greatest board games ever. It is so enjoyable and it is very educational because you really have to strain your brain if you want to do well. I reccomend this and Monopoly as the two greatest board games.
The game is played like this, somebody has been murdered and each player gets a group of cards and then 3 unknown cards are put in a package in the middle. The aim is to find out what those cards are, they must be a person, a weapon, and the room the murder was commited in. At the players turn he/she rolls the dice and then can go into one of the rooms, they can then say, for example 'I suspect colonel mustard, in the drawing room, with the candle stick', the room they say must be the room they are ... This game is played by my 3 year old avidly along with my 5 year old. I also enjoy it as it is fun and educational. With 2 play sides it offers many hours of repeat play.

I think it is poorly made - the cardboard base is flimsy and does not stay in place.
The rules are so complicated i very soon lost the will to live, never mind play and my 2 girls aged 6 and 4 spent 5 minutes making the flowers grow and then it went away.
In the 3 months since my daughter's birthday neither of my girls has got it off the shelf to play with, and i certainly hope it stays that way.
Very disappointing and a waste of money in my opinion.

This is a reworking of the classic Kim's game, where you take something away from a selection of objects without the other person seeing and then they have to guess what's changed. Remember that? It's a very simple and easy to use game that encourages observation skills and memory. I played this In The Night Garden version with my nephew and he tried very hard to remember or work out what had changed, which took concentration and memory, both great skills for kids to learn. And he was really pleased with himself when he guessed right! Although it is a rather basic game and isn't something to keep him occupied for hours, it's well made and good for a bit of supervised fun.
