This might call itself Scrabble Original, but it isn't. The Scrabble sets I played on as a lad all had wee holes in the board and pegs on the tiles so that the game wouldn't be ruined by the slightest knock. Sadly no more. It also comes in a stupidly huge box to make storage unnecessarily awkward. Disappointing.

This has to be the best and most addicting game ever! I love it. It reminds me when I was younger (about 8-10 y.o) when I used to go to the pub with my dad and his friend, I'd make them play it with me all the time and 'bet' money, because I was only young, I obviously had no money, so if they won they got nothing, but whenever I won, they'd give me 50p, I used to leave the pub about a tenner up, haha. I've been trying to find this game for ages, could never find it anywhere, never thought to look on Amazon! So happy I've found it again.

I brought this for my son last Christmas (he was 3 at the time)and he's played with it twice. There aren't enough butterflies, so you spend your time picking them up to put them back in. They all come out at once, so the game is over quite quickly. They are hard to catch for a little one and as soon as the batteries are on the wane, the butterflies don't fly up the sprout! We've recently sold ours at the car boot sale

I find the naivety of the "I lost because I rolled a 4..." comment startling.
I loved this game as a child and played it often, I now have children of my own and we play it. In all the hundreds of games I have played over the years only a very small percentage was bad luck the deciding factor in the game and I cannot think of a single game when a game was won because of good-luck. There is an element of chance in the game but there is far and away more skill and strategy than chance.
Any player that is out because he rolled a 4 rather than a 5 had probably lost the game a long time ago and that was just the killing blow. Perhaps he had overstretched and was caught out or perhaps another player had risked his fortune by ... Read More:

Wobally, as other reviewers have pointed out, is a twist on the classic game of Jenga - this time using brightly coloured balls instead of wooden blocks.
The idea of the game is simple, using the sticks provided, each player must attempt to push a ball from the tower in turn. From there you continue until the tower collapes. According to the instructions, you are then supposed to put the tower back together and play until you have one winner.
The game itself is nicely designed and fits easily into its container once you've finished playing. It's also bright, eye-catching and for a time at least, fun to play.
Despite looking shaky, the game wasn't difficult to assemble and the plastic strap that was supposed to keep the ... Read More:

A great game for a spare 45 minutes, requires next to no set-up which is brilliant! It can get quite confusing when playing with multiple add-ons and it's a bit disappointing that you need to buy them to get some of the player aids (a bag to keep the tiles in etc.)
Having said that this is a really good low maintenance beginners game. I would certainly recommended it.
