I bought this in desperation. My 3 year old has been waking nights so I thought I would give this a go! It is possible to teach a 3 year old to turn it on in the dark by squeezing the hand [I found the wand a bit pointless, my 6 year old has added it to his dressing up stuff - it lights up too].
My 3 year old is very pleased with it. It remains to be seen if it will totally resolve his sleep, but last night was certainly a good one. The lights are just the right brightness IMO and when it goes through the colour changes, it is very soothing to watch! I think it says a minimum of 3 years and I can see why. I bought this for my 8 year old for Christmas last year. It has the potential to be fun but because there are no detailed instuctions it was extremely frustrating to get any results. I did not have the time to work it out and my daughter got fed up with it not doing what she wanted. It has been sitting in a cupboard for several months now. If you or your child has a lot of patience I am sure you would get more from it. Girl tech should include a manual. Dissapointing.
