I bought a meeba with the impression its like a tamagotchi with a cuddly toy in it, which it is like. Though it doesn't require your constant attention so theres no looking after it while the kids are at school or annoying beeps cos its pooped. You move your character through its home with the left and right buttons and moving the circle(ish) shape up and down. The graphics are simple, similar to a tamagotchi but this does so much more one buttons allows you to play pinball, another a plug hole rescue game and the third on that side is a game that changes through the stages of growth - one point its catching hula hoops to getting fire out of a cannon. At the bottom is some mountains that do different things at different points e.g. a water display ... Read More:

We bought this for our daughter as her 6th Birthday gift, and she loves it. She has pixel chix two storey house as well, so connects the mall and the house. If you want your 6yr old to be self engaged and this is the one, keeps them at it for hours :)

....better than the generic Mosquito helos which have two 4-blade rotors with a ring round them - much like a pair of windmills.
This newer version has two conventional 2-blade rotors with a balance bar on the top rotor. It works better for us, and seems to be a bit tougher.
It is still a 3-axis machine with yaw (=rudder) control, motor power (=collective) and pitch (=forward/reverse) rather than the simple 2-axis of the basic Picoo that most of us have seen - in ads if not in the flesh.
We have had half-a-dozen of the older Mosquito variety in our family - mostly the 'Alany' model, and we love them, but this is a significant improvement with slightly better performance, and significantly improved control in the air.

You add water and the egg begins to disintegrate , once the egg has gone your left with a little alien with a flashing heart, you have to feed it for the next few day, you will see him grow, but remember he does need to be cared for, he needs light and dark to keep him alive.
We have had ours now for a couple of months and his flashing heart still beats.
The great thing with them is you can log on to the aliens website, tap in the aliens ID number and find out all about it including how well you have cared for it.
