But it's the useful information inside that counts. It is compiled in areas eg. "Westminster and the South Bank in a Day" and this sets out a suggested itinerary such as 9.30am Westminster Abbey, 11.30am London Eye etc. this gives you an idea what's in this area and how long a time to dedicate to the attraction. A small map of the area is included showing the nearest Tube and Rail stations for that area. There is a complete Tube map at the back of the book and also detailed street ... Read More:

The AA is trying to do things a little different here, with the 'magazine' section designed to avoid the dryness of other guidebooks' culture and history bits. All you need is here, but you do have to spend sometime getting to know the book. The maps are a good case of this. Inside front cover is rough guide to six sections of Berlin as covered in the guide and each section of the guide has map of its area. But much is on the border of three sections and so the guidebook makes things seem further than they are. Added to this is the lack of comparison across these six areas, so you have to do a lot of flipping about to see which is best to eat, for example.
