I'm not reviewing this item - I don't have it - but I do have 5 other Cadogan guides (Rome, Sicily, North East Italy, Tuscany, Umbria and the Marches and Italy), so am I the Cadogan traveller that the previous reviewer refers to?

This book crosses the line between guide book and tourist brochure. Its gushy text, whilst enthusiastic, is of little practical value. This guide could be useful if you are on a package tour and want to get a feel for the island. If you are planning your own trip, this book might be a useful adjunct to another guide.
