This guide is fine if you are interested in the history of the region. My family travelled to Brittany this Summer and were a bit disappointed with this book because we found it difficult to use and not very easy on the eye. The sections are long and heavy on text, so it is sometimes difficult to locate the information that you need quickly.

I currently do a lot of travelling on business and often find myself in new places for months at a time. I bought this book to get the basics (along with the Loney Planet Phrase Book).
The book is very well written and organised. I found most of the information up to date and accurate with only a 2 exceptions, which were minor. Maps were pretty good but there were some occasions I wished the street names had been printed in Arabic or at least phonetically written. Also I would have appreciated having all the streets labelled instead of only the major ones. This is an excellent book, packed with useful advice. We visited all three countries using this one book and found it extremely informative. We used the top 5 recommendations shown for each country and was not disappointed. If you are only spending a couple of days in each country then take this book with you - it will save you a lot of time working out where to go!

I decided to take my six year old to Paris for a long weekend during our stay and used this guidebook to plan a trip that took in so much more than my planned day visit to the Theme Park. I was delighted to find so much to do in Paris with children. The guide was straightforward and easy to access. James helped choose where he wanted to visit from the colour photos. An all round success and well worth the cost of the book !
