Harrison Ford (Star Wars) reprises his role as the sophisticated archaeologist Indiana Jones in Steven Spielberg's action adventure.
Indiana Jones is ordered to go and collect a sacred stone from a mysterious temple and is accompanied by Willie Scott (Capshaw) and Short Round (Ke Quan).
Filled with brilliant action sequences, sharp characters and exciting settings the second film of the Indiana Jones series is a brilliant action adventure, justifying the genre beautifully.
Ford portrays the hero brilliantly with a sharp and intelligent wit, his nerve under pressure and more so for his lines. Indiana Jones is one of my favourite characters of all time because of these qualities.
The search for famous lost treasure is something that really gets people excited. If you combine that with gunfights, chase scenes through the desert, mysterious underground vaults, a legendary director and an iconic bullwhip, then you have all the ingredients for capturing the imagination of generations to come.
Harrison Ford really nails the role of protagonist Dr. Jones, with his quirky humour, charismatic presence and sense of adventure instantly capturing the attention of the viewer. His charming performance made him an idol for millions of kids (and I suspect a large number of adults too).
Thrown into the mix is a suitably sinister villain, Rene Belloq (Paul Freeman) out to thwart our hero at every turn. The stunts in the ... Read More:

What brings this movie up to two stars is the cast. Amitabh Bachan and Shahrukh Khan are the two biggest male names in Bollywood, one from the last generation and one from this one. Unfortunately they have been cast together in a film that mimics everything about every other Hindi film you see......i.e. boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl and dances all over the place, girl doesn't show the same love but eventually falls for him....happily ever after. Another example.....boy falls in love with girl and vice versa....strict Daddy doesn't agree so hearts break and tears flow, boy fights the world and eventually big-daddy lets himself go, cries, and happily ever after. Its criminal. In this movie, both of these examples occur, and it is just getting boring. ... Read More:

ery rarely in Bollywood do you get such subtle movies. This movie is just wonderful. The story is a true story but I think it that they modified to fit for a film. From the moment the movie starts, a tear will come out of eye which will remain until the credits close. Though this is (auto)biographic, it is highly entertaining. The characterization of Zubeidaa is terrific. From the minute you see Karisma (in a wonderful new get up), you want to learn about her. And not only Zubeidaa, the whole cast which makes it a wonderful experience.
The casting of Karisma Kapoor was amazing. Like SRK in Asoka, you never realize that this is a true person she is playing. You feel like she is playing an extension of herself. She looks amazing as ever. Best of all, all ... Read More:

Taal is almost two movies in one, its two halves linked together by love. What begins in the scenic, provincial setting of Chamba ends in the boisterous city of Bombay. In some ways, it is a conventional love story involving that most star-crossed of romances, one between a wealthy young man and a poor young woman, and all the necessary complications such a love gives rise to. In Bollywood, though, nothing is ever simple - and the whole atmosphere of this film swings ponderously between beginning and end.
Akshaye Khanna plays Manav Mehta, a well-bred young man who comes to India with his fantastically wealthy father and quickly falls in love with Mansi (Aishwarya Rai), the daughter of a local folk singer named Tarababu. How could he not fall for the most ... Read More:
