Now don't get me wrong. I love Farscape and every episode but I've only given this video 3 stars. Why? Because this is no where near as good as what is to come. "Premiere" is in some places very awkward and in some places it just seems silly but overall its a good episode which introduces all of the major players well including, Crais a character who will appear time and time again. Meanwhile, "Throne For a Loss" is an improvement with further developing character relationships and a good, action-packed plot. The reason I've only given the video 3 stars is because it is nowhere near as good as Season Two. Watch out for those vids when they come, but buy this one first. Its still worth the money.

Hi. My name's Liam and I live in Australia, and you have no idea how great it is to see Australian talent do so well after all the American bombardment. Unfortunately, Australia is only up to the episode "DNA Mad Scientist" at the time of me writing this review (17/9/00), and I have yet to see the full potential, I think.

"Exodus from Genesis" is a good episode that shows off Jim Henson's ability to create creatures, and is a good vehicle for Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun).

"Thank God It's Friday... Again" is the worst of the three episodes. It starts off well with D'Argos hyper-rage and the mystery of the tranquility on the planet, but then degenerates.'

"PK Tech Girl" ... Read More:

As Lani Tupu (portraying Crais and the voice of Pilot) states in a recent online interview, Farscape is all about heart. In this context, I think that "Through the Looking Glass" is the best episode of season 1. It's full of great humor and finally seeing the crew of Moya, Moya and Pilot all pull together in this is a great piece of writing and acting. Not to fall short on Farscape quotes, John puts it perfectly "This is, one of the good days." Well done!

"That Old Black Magic" starts the tape well with a spooky atmosphere and a very convincing bad guy-Maldis. (Who returns in Season Two) My favourite character (Zhaan) gets to show her darker side in this episode.

"D.N.A Mad Scientist" is my favourite Farscape episode so far with a fantastic monster in Namtar, realised well by puppetry and CGI. The makeup is great, and Aeryns transformation into a Pilot is well handeled. Overall a brilliant episode and video!

Most farscape fans regard the 1st epi as a little weak, but all agree that the season finale (Family Ties) more than makes up for it. The final scene when John loses his ring is very touching.

I got this box set for christmas and I watched them within 4 days of each other, these videos are truely brilliant and so much better than all the other scifi things out there, the people actually seem real and don' do everything right, the only thing I can think of which is bad about this is the box which is really flimsly, that in itself is a testament to the quality of these videos. Get this and you will not be disapoited,

The first two-part episode in Farscape. I don't know about you but I always look forward to when two-part episodes come up in a series and this is totally no exception. It is made even better by the fact that the episodes are each 50 minutes long whereas when they were shown on BBC2 we got 40 minute versions. The episodes "Nerve" and "The Hidden Memory" have everything from the introduction of super-cool bad guy Scorpius to the return of Crais the introduction of new character Stark and the birth of Moya's baby. Truelly brilliant. A must have for all fans of Farscape and any sci-fi alike.
