If you liked Cool Runnings then this is your next DVD. A excellent comedy film that will keep you entertained and you can watch it again and again and still find new things to laugh at.

Known best as cool, decadent, Catholic Julia Flyte of "Brideshead Revisited," the actress narrates this haunting documentary on the House of Chanel. The music of Satie is interwoven with the lonely story of Mademoiselle, and includes the modern Chanel idiom of Karl Lagerfeld. There is also some good footage of star mannequin of the 1980s, Ines de la Fressange, including a heady moment of branchee chic when Ines arranges white tulle over her face. It will be lovely to have this made avaialable again on VHS, and certainly to progress for DVD. In addition to many photos and as best a history as can be culled from a cagey woman of legend, there are interviews with the late Chanel (subtitled) and newer interviews with Lagerfeld.
