This film follows the character of Mary Poppins the nanny who's practically perfect in every way. This timeless classic has magical and unforgettable songs for the whole family to enjoy. And this special 40th anniversary edition has some brilliant extras from a new short story with Julie Andrews, cut songs and a documentary of the making of the film.
First time i saw this movie i was about 6 or 7 years old and it became one of my favorite cartoons. Then i watched it last night (Im 24 now) and it was more intresting than the first time. I think Alice in Wonderland is a pure acid trip story, check the colors, voices, the worm with the bong and that mushroom (Magic mushroom maybe) she ate that made her big and small ??????? and also that weird cat. This movie is made in a way that makes any one who watches it love it.

I can imagine that for many people this is the one film they have watched about Anne Frank and her diary, but although this film is very popular there are many flaws with it and it is not that faithful to Anne's life.
For me Millie Perkins is almost nothing like Anne. Fair enough she does capture Anne's sillyness and sense of fun in parts of the film but for the rest she just appears to act like a 1950s American teenager rather than the German/Dutch girl brought up in the 30s and 40s which Anne Frank was. Anne's relationship with Peter I think was over exaggerated. In the film it shows them together to the end, Anne and Peter kissing in the annex attic waiting for the Gestapo to take them away. However, in reality this romantic relationship had broken ... Read More:

This was the first Jerry Lewis film I ever saw and I thank it for introducing me to one of the greatest film comics of all time.
Cinderfella is a great version of the classic fairy tale with all roles reversed. Jerry Lewis as the hard done by Cinderfella is just superb, and this film stands next to The Nutty Professor as one of his best and funniest.
Look out for the ballroom entrance scene, interesting side note is that when Lewis enters the room, coming down the huge staircase, it was filmed in one take and improvised by the great man as it was shot. When he quickly exits up the same staircase, they were then forced to use the first (and only!) shot of that as he ran up the stairs so fast he had a heart failure when he got to the top! ... I remember seeing both this film and 'The Absent Minded Professor' in black and white at the cinema when I was a kid, and I never forgot how funny they were. The earlier one has just been shown an TV, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it had been colourised, and was just as enjoyable for me after all these years. Sadly, it appears that one is not available to buy on region 2 through Amazon at the moment but this one, 'The Son of Flubber' is.
I really wanted to see this one in a colourised version too if possible but, having searched the web, was unable to confirm that this film had ever been given that treatment. However, being on special offer through Amazon I decided to order it anyway. Imagine my delight, then, to discover that the film supplied was ... Read More:
