I had never heard of this film, but I first watched it a couple of years ago and it blew me away. This is now firmly establised as one of my favourite films of all time. Whilst I know that many people will not understand the film, I now actually judge people on whether they like this film or not. I have changed my views on my own friends through watching this superb film. People who do not like this film are simpleton's in my view, and example of this is my friend Wikey. He does not like this film, and therefore I like him less as I know his brain does not have enough capacity to understand the subtle humour this film provides.
It is best to watch this film when you are slightly tipsy, and it always gets me howling with laughter. ... Read More:

This is a real must. It would be easy to pick out Ray Winstone as the star, but the whole cast are fantastic. Brilliantly written and directed, it may be in 4 episodes, but make sure you leave yourself the 3 1/2 hours needed because you won't be able to turn it off.

Oh i love this film very much, it always has me in stitches. Comedy is quite hard to review, as it all depends on the individual and what him or her finds funny. But, come on, this is a classic - definitely a must-see. Cary Elwes is brilliant, playing the pompous slimy hero (more or less the same as his role as Westley in The Princess Bride) that you can't help but love (and laugh at). The supporting cast put forth top-notch performances and are perhaps more funny than the lead (most notably Roger Rees and Mark Blankfield). Basically, Mel Brooks is a comedy genius

The title, Bleak Moments, is without question the most accurate one-line assessment one could ever think of to best describe this film. Unlike the later works of it's director, Mike Leigh, there is no sense of the sweetness of life to undercut the feelings of quiet desperation so central to these characters, nor, for that matter, is there any sense of hope, redemption or comic-relief. Instead, this is a stifling and claustrophobic work of almost searing social-anguish, as this collection of characters attempt to co-exist in the everyday world, all the while being crippled and torn apart by their repressed feelings of guilt, love, longing and loss, which here, manifest themselves in the numerous, extended scenes of uncomfortable silence and embarrassing ... Whereas Cake looks good as Sir Oswald Mosley, the charismatic leader of Britain's half-successful British Union of Fascists (BUF; which later reformed itself in the German model as the British Union of Fascists and National Socialists), this is a very poor attempt to represent the real events of Mosley's life.
Yes: he started life as a Tory MP. Yes: he then became a Labour MP. Yes: he then resigned over the unemployment problem, and Labour's refusal to implement the 'Mosley Memorandum,' forming Nupa, the New Party, which in October 1932, with the publication of "The Greater Britain" almost morphed into the BUF - all in an emulation of Mussolini's Italy, who Mosley had recently visited.
This being one of the undemanding of his films, The Accidental Spy simply doesn't capture the true feel of a Jackie Chan martial-arts action flick. The actors' voices are badly dubbed with clumsy English accents, the plot's so heavy-handed it's hard to understand (something about Jackie Chan's character being a pawn in a much bigger plot about lethal phials) and the action set pieces are disappointingly schlocky (and that's saying something). Even Jackie Chan feels uncomfortable in a film like this so let's hope he thinks before he leaps into another action flick.

In former days, that is to say from 1978 to 1982, there was a television series called "The Incredible Hulk," which served to answer the question what if you crossed "The Fugitive" with the Jolly Green Giant. David Bruce Banner (Bill Bixby) was a brilliant scientist who was studying the effects of stress on physical strength. In a classic laboratory accident he was exposed to a massive dosage of gamma rays. The result was that when Banner became angry, he turned into the Incredible Hulk (Lou Ferrigno). Banner spent four seasons traveling around the country trying to find a cure and stay one step ahead of Jack McGee (Jack Colvin), the tabloid reporter on his heels. Of course, at every stop he made his alter ego would announce his presence with authority at ... Read More:
