VHS : Dad's Army - Knights Of Madness [1968]

Dad's Army - Knights Of Madness [1968]

starring: Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, Arnold Ridley
August 07, 1995

This video contains another three great episodes of one of the best British programmes ever made. It contains the Home Guard attempting to outdo the ARP with a St George vs the Dragon display, Private Pike attempting to impress a lovely young lady and Private Fraser attempting to hang on to his treasured gold. Yet again, the scripts are very funny and the acting spot-on so this video can be watched again and again without losing any of its appeal.

VHS : Dad's Army - Sergeant Wilson's Little Secret [1968]

Dad's Army - Sergeant Wilson's Little Secret [1968]

starring: Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, Arnold Ridley
September 01, 1997

The people who chose which episodes went together on these video volumes always liked putting two good episodes with one of the weaker ones (or maybe it's just me).

"Sergeant Wilson's Little Secret" and "Everybody's Trucking" were both great examples of Dad's Army humour. The former was originally filmed in colour, but sadly it was destroyed by the BBC and had to be restored from a black-and-white version of the episode which had been shipped abroad for overseas transmission. The story focuses around Sergeant Wilson's panic when Mrs. Pike begins to talk about having a child, and he assumes that he's made her pregnant. Of course, there's more to it than that, but you'll have to watch it to find out. ;-)

Dad's Army - The Big Parade [1968]

starring: Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, Arnold Ridley
July 06, 1998

This video contains three all time classic episodes from the famous British TV sit-com series Dad's Army. Episodes include 'The Big Parade', 'Gorilla Warfare' and 'The Godiva Affair'

Episode:
1. The Big Parade
The first episode on this video that shows Captain Mainwaring and his platoon taking part in a procession in which Mainwaring wants a mascot to lead them. Unfortunately he discovers that trusting Private Walker to supply one was a very bad mistake. An episode which of the three is my least favorite which doesn't necessarily mean that anyone else will find it so, so don't be put off by this.

2. Gorilla Warfare
A well produced episode and in my opinion, the funniest of the lot which during a training exercise, shows Mainwaring ... Read More:
