I saw Riverdance live in the UK and this comes no where near what you would expect. It has been very badly edited. If it's a large group of dancers you need to see all of them to get the full effect of group dancing, zooming in on the waist line of one dancer does not do it. Many times when a distance shot was required you found that the view was too close to the dancers to really see what they were doing. Zoom in. Zoom out, Zoom in Zoom out, Zoom in, Zoom out, Oh please will you keep the camera still. I sat through it all hoping it would improve, it did not. A VERY BORING VERSION OF WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN AMAZING SHOW.

I was so excited when I saw a new show with my two favourite Irish dancers, Jean Butler and Colin Dunne. This is a big difference from Riverdance, but my goodness it is amazing. They have certainly put their own spin on things, but Colin Dunne is incredible as ever, I could watch him dance all day and Jean Butler is graceful. Tells the story well and is definately worth a watch!

I have never written a review before but this is genius. Van Damme punches a rattlesnake in the face and then bites off its rattle in order for the snake to then be used in a silent ambush against his assailants. Quite simply the best bit of movie I have ever seen. Legend.

I first saw this film when I was very ill and confined to bed for several weeks - I'm sure it helped my convalescence! Inspiring, amazing, even astounding film that set me on the path to discovering the genius of director Louis Malle. Unfortunately, the only dvd edition I know of is a very poor transfer of a grainy, faded print. This film deserves restoration and recognition for the masterpiece it is.
