Classic comedy from the talent of Harry Enfield whose characters captured the absolute essence of the 90s; more than ably assisted by Paul Whitehouse & Kathy Burke.
I wish the BBC would release the full series on DVD (& the 2nd series too), but it doesn't look like it will do anytime soon unfortunately. This video is reason enough then to keep the old VCR going!

After 2 classic series for the BBC (Harry Enfield's Television Programme), this third series (which is basically the same show but with a new title and some new characters) is where Harry's comedy genius began to dip and, in my opinion, began to get a bit desperate. The old characters are as funny as ever: Tim Nice-But-Dim, the Old Gits, the Slobs, the Scousers (with someone else playing Joe McGann's role) and Kevin becomes that infamous teenager... (Remember the original kid "Kevin" who was the total opposite of his teenaged version?). Kathy Burke is brilliant as Perry (but everybody knows that, I guess). Also: Lee & Lance are a major improvement in this series - a lot funnier than in the second series. Some of the new characters ... Read More:

Harry's done it again! He's made a better series than the first. It has the great dj-mungus SHASHIE and NICEY seeing how they cope leaving radio fab fm. It has (as always) TIM NICE BUT DIM,and the classic WAYNE SLOB robbing a bank. if you've had a taste of comedy from Enfield or you're just a beginner, this man is a genius at making everyone laugh their heads off.

This is Harry Enfield at his best. In the second series, characters like the Slobs, the Old Gits, Nice-But-Dim Tim and the Scoucers really get into full swing. These three episodes also contain the classic football match (a team from the '40s versus a '90s team), the Blind Date sketch, the Playboys, English For Aliens and a TV show featuring comparisons on the lives of a working-class man (Wayne Slob) and an upper-class man (Tim). Mention must also go to Paul Whitehouse, Kathy Burke, Jon Glover and Martin Clunes - all great actors and hilarious in their varied roles.
Come on, BBC. Release all Harry Enfield's BBC TV series (or the first three at least) in their complete form on DVD. These are classics which deserve to shine again.

This film is almost ten years old but it retains its relevance and interest because of its timeless theme that of the hit and miss elusive search for a soulmate and the false paths taken on the way.The script and acting are first class and the music score (also available on Amazon) is expertly woven into the plot. A classic.

Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders are simply amazing! It's like they've visited everybody's living rooms and listened to our comments while watching the films and TV-series and then turned them into something incredibly funny.
My two particular favourites are Lucky Bitches and the House of Idiot, they are so spot on! It's scary. I don't want to spoil this for anyone, but if you watched and enjoyed the House of Elliot, you're going to love that bit.
This is a must-have on a cold and dark winter's night!!!
