VHS : WWF - Royal Rumble 1998

WWF - Royal Rumble 1998

starring: Shawn Michaels, Mark Calaway, Dwayne Johnson, Ken Shamrock, Brian James
directed by: Kevin Dunn
April 06, 1998

The actual royal rumble match in itself was solid and a superb performance by stone cold who was set to dominate the industry after this for a while, also noteworthy is the entrance of a young wrestler called rocky maivia who would develop into the rock ,the single greatest thing that happened to wrestling in recent years, however this was 1997 and the wwf didnt have the talent that they would later have, they were chasing wcw and losing at this juncture and it showed, although i was always wwf, always, this has not aged well.
Staying with the actual royal rumble if i may,the dross that made its way to the ring at times was shameful, wrestlers that were never gonna have a wwe career,i didnt see the point in all the masked mexican wrestlers, about ... Read More:

WWF - King Of The Ring 1998 - Off With Their Heads

starring: The Undertaker, Mankind, Ken Shamrock
October 05, 1998

Without a doubt, this was the best WWF PPV of 1998 if not, the best ever. This was the best year for the company and you will find out why if you purchase. You have to see this event to really believe it.

All the matches were entertaining and a lot of credit has to go to Mick Foley who stole the show completely in the Hell in a Cell match. This was Foley at his best and if you have never seen this match, well lets just say he can take a bump or two. The First Blood match was great but with a dissapointing ending but it was probably a bit too predictable once you heard the stipulations of the match.

The King of the Ring tournament itself had a great final and was a major stepping stone for The Rock's career.

Honourable mention has to got to the ... Read More:

Wwf in Your House 15 [1997]

starring: Mark Calaway, Steve Austin, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Michael Hegstrand
directed by: Kevin Dunn
August 11, 1997

This is a good quality wwf pay-per view and is worth the money. There is a smashing title match between the Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin plus solid contests including Flash Funk versus HHH and ironicly Jesse James verus Rockabilly on the free for all. Buy it for the strong matchups and presence of the Hart foundation at ringside for the title match. It's a classis dose of good ol' 97.

wrestlemania 15,the year 1999,live from Philadelphia,6 titles up for grabs in what was a great event let down by one or two matches but essentially a wrestemania great,if we all wear our honesty hats then we know that wrestlemania by that very term means it will be good and this is no exception.
The opening match kicked in with a bang, the now defunct hardcorfe title, meaning no rules folks, pitted the champ billy gunn againts hardcore holly and al snow. The match was fast as one would expect and certainly ruthless, this match didnt last long but the nature of it dictated it wouldnt,in the end the outcome was good and the three wrestlers could walk out with their pride intact.
The tag team title was up for grabs next, the holders owen hart and jeff jarrett fough d-lo brown and test, this match ... Read More:
