I will confess that this story is not as good as I thought it would be but as time passes it does grow on me.
The cybermen themselves are back on track after their underused performance in 'The Invasion' and are seen to be a lot more cunning and manipulative. E.g. using human greed to aquire the services of a human agent. However I am disapointed that they don't have much involvement in the story until episode 3 but their performance makes up for that.
Tom Baker is excellent as the Doctor, as usual. His banter with the Cyberleader during episode three is a mixture of seriousness and silliness and thats what makes it so good.
Companions Harry and Sarah are seen to have their own mini adventure in this ... Read More:

Viewers beware. On the Amazon web site the cast list is entirely wrong. This is not a Petherbridge Wimsey but a Carmichael Wimsey. It remains a wonderful DVD. It is faithful to the book and grips one just as tightly. However I find Carmichael plays Wimsey with less depth than Petheridge. Wimsey is a somewhat tortured soul and this is not a Carmichael expertise.

Every time I watch this one, it starts off superb but then by episode four it starts to collapse. Patrly because the Metebelis Three people are so stupid and can't act. There are mostly good speical effects all along, and the regeneration is fairly standard, but female spiders?

Its wonderful to watch the original series where Buffy, Xander, Giles and Willow are introduced. The episodes on the DVD are stunningly sharp although there aren't that many special features.
My favourite episode is The Puppet Show. Sid is a great character and I can understand why they used him in the game. I also like the season finale.
The Good Life is a classic comedy series and these are three of its best episodes ("Backs to the Wall", "Silly, But it's Fun" and "The Wind Break War"). If you don't want to invest in a whole series, but would like to watch some of "The Good Life"'s best episodes then this video is for you.
The show is guaranteed to cheer you up and have you howling with laughter, whatever your age. Even some children will enjoy watching Margo, the eternal snob coming to terms with the Good's make do and mend Christmas, cheeky but suddenly serious Tom's over the top outrage at Margo's plans for a windbreak and Barbara's woeful attempt at bringing in the harvest in a storm.
Overall, great fun for all the family and one to watch over and over again.

Grandma and her son (from Coronation Street) steal the show in this one. A group of scientists, led by Dr Fendahlman, unearth a skull that has been around longer than mankind. The skull is the focus of malevolent power that if unchallenged will destroy mankind! OK, not an original plot, but one that I believe works well.
The Doctor and Leela, who is sporting an 'odd' hairstyle, work well together in this one. There's an interesting start when they land on earth and are taken for looneys. Well, to be honest.....
Yes, I like this one. It retains a dark side to it, illuminated both in terms of storyline and the screenplay by the Doctor and Leela as well as good character actors.
This video should be compulsory viewing for all parents of teenagers! It might help them to understand their troubled offspring a bit better. It is very funny, and compulsive viewing - watch it again and again.

We have a number of Teletubbies videos, and of course watch the occasional new episode on TV, but this is the best I have seen so far and undoubtedly is our young daughter's favourite. There is a delightful video of some young children in the rain and then a cloud comes and makes a big puddle in which all the Teletubbies get wet. This is followed by a computer animation of a parade of animals which always transfixes and delights our daughter. In fact this tape is just one delight after another - fantastic entertainment for tots from beginning to end.
