As a relative newcomer to the Anime genre, Previously only having seen Fist of The North Star ( also excellent) and various series on TV, I was very pleasantly surprised by this title. It proves that Anime does not need to be ultra-violent to provide non-childish entertainment. I thought the whole film was wonderfully drawn and animated, and the humour, while not hugely sophisticated, to be very amusing in a surreal way (especially the sea cucumbers!) The only down points I found with this film were the constant jokes about Lina's breasts, which became a little wearing, and the perhaps slightly ponderous plot development in the early stages of the film. Otherwise, this was an excellent piece of animation which I recommend Fully.

My full reviews are not being published for some reason, so I'll not waste my time (or yours) here and simply say that this film was so amateur it was (almost) amusing. Hammiest 'acting' I have ever seen.

Grandma and her son (from Coronation Street) steal the show in this one. A group of scientists, led by Dr Fendahlman, unearth a skull that has been around longer than mankind. The skull is the focus of malevolent power that if unchallenged will destroy mankind! OK, not an original plot, but one that I believe works well.
The Doctor and Leela, who is sporting an 'odd' hairstyle, work well together in this one. There's an interesting start when they land on earth and are taken for looneys. Well, to be honest.....
Yes, I like this one. It retains a dark side to it, illuminated both in terms of storyline and the screenplay by the Doctor and Leela as well as good character actors.
This collection is one that all those who love gothic style thrillers will enjoy. It features the nineteen seventy six blockbuster, "The Omen" and its progeny.
THE OMEN - ***** STARS
This is the jewel in this collection. It is a first class, gothic thriller with an outstanding cast, a riveting story line, and a musical score that will make the viewer want to sleep with the lights on! A first rate film, it had audiences riveted to the screen when it was first released and has withstood the test of time, as it is as gripping today, as when it was first released.
David Seltzer wrote a terrific screenplay in which an older, affluent, and socially prominent couple, Kathy and Robert Thorn (Lee Remick and Gregory Peck), have a baby, whom ... Read More:

As a viewer of the latest series of Doctor Who it is great to see how this unique show began.
I saw the very first Doctor Who story back in 1980 when it was repeated on BBC2. It is just as mesmerising now, as it was for me at the age of 9! At the time I'd only seen Tom Baker as Doctor Who and it's great to see that the actor before him was just as good, if not better! These first episodes of Doctor Who set up a format that hasn't changed that much since 1963.
William Hartnell is every bit as dominating on screen as Christopher Eccleston was in 2005. A grumpy and difficult character, as all the best Doctor Who's should be. You can see where Eccleston got his main inspiration.
This is a very wonderful movie and unforgattabale as well, and it has many great things like good acting, cast, storyline, action, all from seventies and peformed fantastically. I think any one who love sci-fi storys or movies must have this as a reference.
But why they didnt realese it yet in Region 2 DVD? Im waiting for long time to have it in region 2 for better picture quality.

Whenever you think of Jim Henson's Muppets, the fuzzy kooky variety shows and entertaining adventures of Miss Piggy, Gonzo and Kermit the Frog come to mind.
But these versatile puppets have been used for far more dramatic effects in "The Dark Crystal," an exquisite little fantasy story that happens to be entirely populated by puppets. Not a live person in sight, from start to finish. Henson and Brian Froud conjured up a gloriously detailed world -- full of fantastical flora and fauna, crystalline castles and strange creatures -- and wrapped it around a solid coming-of-age story.
On another world, there are two strange races that appeared one thouysand years ago -- the enormous, gentle, peaceful Mystics, and the nasty, vulture-like, vicious Skekses who ruin ... Read More:
