This sequel to Kinda is a fabulous Dr.Who story which works very effectively in every department and contains much impressive characterisation, acting and story telling. Janet Fielding excells as the possessed Tegan, making a superb villainess and the guest cast are all first rate. Best of all, Peter Davison is on top form, giving a startling and exuberant performance, full of energy, passion and enthusiasm. Sadly, some see him as ineffective, probably as stories like this portray him very much as the underdog, with those he meets pig-headedly ignorant and indifferent to his words of warning. It is more the case that the sitiation has been made bigger than the Doctor in order to generate real suspense and tension, rather than any lack of conviction ... Read More:

It was one of the first Godzilla movies I saw, a long time ago, and although it is definitely not the best in the series, I can't help it - I really really like it. The topic is quite familiar: once again an alien race tries to conquer the Earth by unleashing two monsters from outer space on hapless Earthlings and once more the planet will be saved by Godzilla, with Anguirus as its (surprisingly endurant) sidekick. The two monsters from outer space are the old Godzilla's nemesis, three headed King Ghidorah and a cybernetic hybrid (a living creature with some mechanisms inplanted in the body) known as Gigan. It is the first appearance of Gigan in Godzilla movies, but it immediately won a huge number of fans and returned twice since, including the recent ... Read More:

This is, without a doubt, the absolute very worst film ever produced by humanity. It's worse than Battlefield Earth. It's worse than the Highlander sequels. It's worse than A Nymphoid Barbarian In Dinosaur Hell.
Having seen this film on TV, I bought the DVD because I felt the need to demonstrate to my friends just how bad this film is. Since I don't have any friends, it's never been viewed. In fact, it's still in its plastic wrapper. I'm worried that if I unwrap it, the badness will leak out into my other DVDs, and the next time I watch Batman Begins or Fight Club, they'll all mysteriously suck.
Worst Film Ever. Run now, and save yourselves.

This series itself retains something of a cult following - not least because of its distinctive tone and setting, which packages pounding martial arts action, a deconstruction of the family, as well as interesting homo-erotic undertones - all set in a Mad Max style post-catastrophe landscape. After a devastating global war, we are told, life for mankind has turned into a nightmarish struggle, not only because of the barren environment but through the depredations of mentally deranged, mutated savages.
Ranged against them, and all evildoers, is Kenshiro, master of a particular fighting technique, Hokuto Shinken, a virtually unbeatable martial skill that works on manipulating the secret power points of opponent's bodies, destroying them from within. ... Read More:

I really enjoyed this. Everything makes sense and the ending is really dramatic, much more so than 2001's imo, which just left me confused and thinking: thank god for that. Acting is also good throughout.

It's highly unlikely that they'll ever show series one again on channel 5, so this is the perfect opportunity to see the early episodes of this, my very favourite TV show. It has none of the colour of the more recent episodes, and the budget is evidently far more restricted, but there is something about the first series that puts it head and shoulders above the other series'. To hear Rosalin J singing the dream must stay alive at the end of every episode is an extremely powerful experience. To see all the old characters before the clones started to appear, to witness the opening scenes of what has become a very popular show, these are the elements that should be relived time and time again. Since the first time I saw the Tribe, episode 3 series one first time round way back ... Read More:
