When i bought this version of all good things i was pleased to see that the feature leagth version has scenes in that were not in the two part version as released on video before this one i was glad to see that they had decided to end the series on a high note and that although we know that we would not the future as shown here because it would not happen as the enterprise d would get destroyed in generations it was a good look back at what was a great and exciting series as we see the enterprise fly away at the end i was sad that we would not see this crew again on a weekly basis apart from the odd film every couple of years a great ending to what was a exciting series.

VHS : Doctor Who - Time And The Rani

Doctor Who - Time And The Rani

starring: Sylvester McCoy, Bonnie Langford, Kate O'Mara
July 03, 1995
Best Selling > VHS > Science Fiction and Fantasy

I dont agree with the views of many people about this GREAT story. I will list all the great things about it below:

Sylv McCoy: His debut as the Doctor is strong and really different from any of his predecessore. He really feels and comes across as really enjoying the role, and is full of enthusiasm for the role. He really does impress on this his first outing as one of the best incarnations of the time lord actually.

Kate O Mara: If anyone had to pretend to be the Doctors companion, no one else could have done it with the finesse that Kate O Mara does it with as the Rani in this story. Yes, and she is even stronger than in her debut and even seems to look younger! Shes really quite good looking.

VHS : Men In Black II [2002]

Men In Black II [2002]

starring: Will Smith, David Cross, Tommy Lee Jones, Rip Torn, Lara Flynn Boyle
directed by: Barry Sonnenfeld
November 08, 2004
Best Selling > VHS > Science Fiction and Fantasy

I don't mind them making a cash-in sequel to the witty and fun "MIB", but they could at least make it funny. MIB II is a complete flop. It is dull, tedious and totally unfunny. The clever wit and charisma of the first film are gone. Everyone is just going through the motions. You sit there hoping it will liven up when Tommy Lee Jones enters the film (it takes 40 minutes for him to arrive. It does lighten up a bit, but not enough to make the film worthwhile. Avoid.

Doctor Who - Pyramids of Mars [1975] [1963]

starring: Tom Baker
directed by: Paddy Hinchcliffe
January 24, 2000
Best Selling > VHS > Science Fiction and Fantasy

Dr. Who, one of the true cult figures of our time
that is the father of X-files, is best seen
through the actor Tom Baker, and on DVD.

This is one of the shows(!) that
combines nice ( and not so outdated ) special effects, and great acting to
produce the most excellent episode of Dr. Who ever. The story is of course a bit
far fetched, but give the rest a chance, buy this DVD, and you will be
entertained.

And maybe you will be as surprised as I was when all the amount of
horror movies created today with a world of computer graphics,
can't top the chilling feeling you get from watching this (made in 1975!).

Doctor Who - The Five Doctors [1983]

starring: Peter Davison, Frazer Hines, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Richard Hurndall
directed by: John Nathan-Turner, Pennant Roberts, Peter Moffatt
July 02, 1990

This episode is one of those rare occasions where the then current doctor meets his previous selves. This time its Peter Davison(the 5th doctor)meeting with his other selves.Sadly William Hartnell (the 1st doctor)had passed away by the time this was made,so another actor takes his place. He is no Hartnell, but is adequate .Patrick Troughton(the 2nd doctor)and Jon pertwee reprise their roles with aplomb. The Brigadier puts in an appearance and is his usual self.Unfortunately Tom Baker-the 4th,and best doctor-is only in it for 2 minutes, and doesnt get to meet any of his alter egos.He would have made this episode even better. There is very little plot here, but there are some great scenes involving the daleks, the cybermen, the master and of course, the 5 doctors.

Doctor Who - Enlightenment [1983]

the scenes shot in space look very realistic indeed, some of the best space shots in doctor who ever, and thats including the new series. the starscape does look real and not just like a load of cgi. a credit to the designers and photographers.

and the ships are very well designed too, for models. they actually dont look like models at all. they are surprisingly realistic. this is a doctor who space op that actually works!

and the eternals are disturbing and wierd, and well acted by everyone involved. Lynda Baron is great as Wrack isnt she?! and Valentine Dyall does another great performance as the Black Guardian.

a real good character piece and also the costumes are striking, especially Janet Fielding's. A good plot and good script ... Read More:

VHS : Big Trouble In Little China [1986]

Big Trouble In Little China [1986]

starring: John Carpenter|Kurt Russell|Kim Cattrall|Dennis Dun

Best Selling > VHS > Science Fiction and Fantasy

Fortunately I have managed to miss this film over the last 22 years. I'm saying that because I suspect if I had seen it when it first came out I wouldn't have appreciated it. Now though, following Kill Bill and many other martial arts epics this is a refreshing change from the usual Hollywood stodge.

Kurt Russell is superb as Jack, a wise-cracking truck driver who accidently stumbles upon an extremly unlikely plot revolving around two girls with green eyes and an ancient magician who is seeking to gain ultimate power by marrying one or both of the girls. As intimated above the magician, who is called Lo Pan, has a vague similarity to Mei Pei in Kill Bill. Kim Cattrall is one of the two leading actresses, who is now of course much more famous for 'Sex and the City'. ... Read More:

VHS : Dr Who - Meglos [1980]

Dr Who - Meglos [1980]

starring: Tom Baker
March 10, 2003
Best Selling > VHS > Science Fiction and Fantasy

Tom's gargantuan reputation cannot conceal the fact that so many of his stories were terrible. aided and abetted by the smug Romana who cannot act to save her life and has to be put with comic buffoon males to make her look smart (ANYONE would be smarter than Brotodac and Gurgger!), Tom can barely hold the attention of the audience in this disposable outing.
The main gripes are that this is basically a giant pantomime, like a lot of other stories after the end of the Hinchcliffe era, Invisible Enemy, Horns of Nimon, TimeLash, etc. But I think Dr.Who does pantomime very cleverly and the panto episodes are some of the show's most entertaining. twin Dilemma is a pantomime with a black heart and an unhinged Doctor, but this is just pointless and shallow. Even for a pantomime, Meglos is not ... Read More:

Doctor Who - Horror Of Fang Rock [1977]

starring: Tom Baker, Louise Jameson, Colin Douglas, Rio Fanning

Best Selling > VHS > Science Fiction and Fantasy

Tom baker, argubly the best doctor is superb in this very atmospheric doctor who tale, and is partner by the best doctor who assistent Leela. This is not as action packed as an average doctor who story but it more then makes up for it in the character development of the lighthouse occupants.Children and adults will enjoy this both alike due to the atmosphere fear it creates and the suspicion between the characters creating watchable confrontations. This episode borrows ideas from john carpeters, 'The Thing' very well and is an essential in any Dr Who collection.

Yes even though even i wonder why the Doctor seems to have no blood in his brain when he and Leela are cloned and injected into his neck, and how they can breathe as well...well, maybe he doesnt have much blood, he is an alien after all! And maybe he does have an airy head!

Despite these quirks in the script, this story is still highly watchable and entertaining. And doesnt the nucleus just look so cool? Attack of the killer prawn with attitude, although the voice by John Leeson is great! And this story did introduce the cool K9 too. And the spacesuited men whove been overtaken by the virus are actually pretty creepy. And despite the budget restraints, this story doesnt look too bad either. And also i think Tom's acting is great in this story, especially when hes overtaken by the ... Read More:
