As a kid my dad took me to see Spurs play at White Hart Lane in the 60s - a day's outing from Cambridge. I remember so much from these days - playing, watching and idolising. Jimmy Greaves was my hero - 'Gentleman Jim' to many. Playing Liverpool in 1967, a year before I emigrated to Australia, I recall him scoring twice against Liverpool in a 2-1 victory. One direct from a corner and the other with a touch of magic. As the years passed I occasionally recalled that game and recently set about looking... was that game on tape? A long search via the BBC told me it may be on the 60's tape but may have missed out in the combination edition. An internet search led me to a man in the US who had a photo of the 'corner' goal and who was even at the game! I bought ... Read More:

I deferred buying a T&D video because I read so many negative reviews of DVDs and videso alike, but this one hits the spot. For those of you non-skating experts, this relives the rise of Torvill and Dean, and reignites the national pride we all felt in the 1980s, and hasn't been equalled since. Also, the linking narration and interviews with Torvill & Dean is done very well, 100% is done by T&D, no voiceover actors here.
Don't be put off by the VHS format, remember, the broadcast quality in the 1980s was poor, but I doubt DVD would fair better, except for sound quality. This really doesn't need to be in Dolby 5.1, stereo, or HD picture format either, the spectacle is in the content and choreography that the T&D team excelled at. Although ... Read More:

An entertaining video, you can't fast forward through any of it! Tells a tale about The Hardyz, The Dudleys and Edge and Chirstian. Including cool interviews with all the stars and two great matches. One is a ladder match for $$$$$ and Terri's manager contract the other is an amazing Wrestlemania feud!! A must watch! *****

WWF Rock Bottom looks like a promising pay-per-view event on paper, but once you start watching it, you begin to realise that it falls short of the normal standard of excellence that is the WWF. The show starts off well enough, with a decent tag bout featuring Val Venis and The Godfather against D'lo Brown and Mark Henry. But then the show goes south. The Headbangers vs The Oddities stinks the place out and Owen Hart vs Steve Blackman has a daft count-out finish (in Owen's home country I might add!)Then you get bored sensless by a mundane six-man between The Job Squad and The Brood.
Everyone's favourite is next, The Striptease Match between Jeff Jarrett and Goldust. The match is actually quite good, and the end result means that Debra has to strip for the crowd (unfortunately, ... Read More:
