The 1997 King of the Ring was a fairly good show, featuring some excellent matches and some matches that didnt really belong here.
The King of the Ring Tournament Semi Finals saw Mankind face Jerry Lawler, and Triple H vs. Ahmed Johnson, and it is fairly obvious, even back then, that the Final would see Mankind go up against Triple H, kicking off their huge fued, which still, to this day, hasn't completely stopped.
In other matches, Crush took on Goldust in a solid, but pointless match, and in a 6-man tag match, The British Bulldog, Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart took on the somewhat odd pairing of The Legion of Doom and Sycho Sid. A pretty good match, with some good wrestling as usual from Owen Hart, and the abundance of power ... Read More:

I am a die hard Rock fan so this PPV obviously appealed to me. I am also a huge fan of any matches Kane and The Undertaker. Especially the one on this PPV. The Taker has his best Music by far on this one aswell. If you like alot of mayhem, get this Survivor Series. Its all about deadly games!!!

The one after the Bret Hart scandal. The one with the silly matches. It starts off with Los Buricuas v DOA minus Crush. This is an pretty boring match. Then the first Light heavyweight title match with Too Sexy(Grandmaster Sexay) v Taka Michinoku. A great boxing match follows between Butterbean and Marc Mero. The Outlaws defend the titles in a plausible match against the LOD. Surprisingly HHH v Sgt Slauter is a good match with Chyna getting involved at every chance. Jeff Jarrett v Undertaker is a rubbish match with, you've guessed it,Kane interfering. Stone Cold faces The Rock in a great match for the IC Title. Then a boring match with Ken Shamrock v Shawn Michaels for the WWF Title which winds up with Owen Hart interfering in revenge for his brother. ... Read More:

This is one of the best PPVs I have ever seen. All of the matches were performed to the highest standard. Also, a little note to the guy who asked why did it have a picture of rhino on the front? That wasn't Rhino, it was Sabu. Now, on to the review:
Super Crazy vs Yoshihiro Tajiri
This match has lots of good high flying moves on the outside and lucha libre techniques from Super Crazy. A good way to kick off the PPV.
Steve Corino vs Balls Mahoney
This one started when Steve Corino came out and started running his mouth and offered a challenge to anyone, so out came Balls Mahoney with Axl Rotten. This is a short but good match with Balls's chair making an appearance as always.
I saw it live, and for my live experience, I'd give it six out of five, but watching it back on video was a different story. At least all the big names were here for this one, but it should never be an 18 - I would say it should be Exempt from Classification like most WWF videos, because the most explicit and controversial things are the Godfather's bikini wearing Ho Train and Triple H's bloodshed in the dissapointing Cage Match main event against The Rock. A decent mid card featured all the big names inentertaining matches, but the highlight of the show has got to be Y2J's classic encouter with the Road Dogg. In fact, they came through the cdrowd, and the Dogg almost knocked Jericho onto my lap! This isn't the best UK Pay-per-View ever, but it is better than ... Read More:

King of the Ring 2000, filmed at the absolute height of the then-WWF's popularity is a great PPV with just one bad match (that being the evening gown match - but at least that had a funny ending). It's an excellent PPV and for this price is a good addition to any wrestling fan's collection. Capital Carnage isn't the greatest PPV but it's not awful at all and it was a UK only one so we shouldn't expect it to be as good as the worldwide ones such as KOTR.
Overall, I definately recommend it. *sighs* If only WWE was this good nowadays...

This video has it all. From someone who has grown up in Scottish Mountain circles this video really captures "Why do you do that?" From the reconstruction of Collie's route to the cioch , to 'The Maister' (Jimmy Marshall) on Bludger's Revelation. Ice Climbing at the cutting edge - how do they do that? A close look at Tom Patey's life and skills. I could watch it again and again.
