This is an excellent adventure written by Robert Holmes, probably the best script writer the show ever had, and who wrote some of my favourite episodes including this, plus 'Spearhead From Space', 'The Ark In Space', 'The Brain Of Morbius' - which he co-wrote with Terance Dicks under the pseudonym of Robin Bland, 'The Talons Of Weng Chiang' and 'The Caves Of Androzani'.
The Galifrey set is looking a bit dated now, but it also looked quite low-tech in 1976 as well. What really makes this a special episode for me, is the brilliant plot, plus the Doctor going through the Matrix. The Matrix is an hallaguenic dream sequence with the Doctor facing imaginary threats from the Master, plus also being chased by a Bounty Hunter. The threat ... Read More:

Shows in truth the trials of the Farthing Wood animals during the winter months as they stay in White Deer Park. Includes the devilish blue fox Scarface and their feud with the heroic Red Foxes, and the animals defeat on a pair of murderous poachers. This video really emphasizes the magic of Colin Dann's work and the beautiful animation and music do him a lot of justice.

The King of stand up (or should I say sit down) at his best. Dave Allen on Life takes a selection of clips from his 1989 series and a sideways look at at the irony of life, while vintage Dave Allen provides a scoop full of hilarious sketches and excerpts from shows throughout the 70s and 80s. Essential viewing for any Dave Allen fan or anybody in need of cheering up. One criticism - it's not on DVD.

Each of these monologues left me completely spellbound. It would be very hard to pick my favourites from the melting pot of dramatic talent but if I really had to choose, I think I would pick either David Haig's or Penelope Wilton's. I can only say it must be really hard work playing those parts. Each monologue as about 50 minutes but I didn't feel a minute slip by. Buy it and treasure for years to come.

Yes ok the science in this series is dubious. Yes ok the narrative is a bit over the top. But my (nearly) 3 year old son is utterly spellbound. If you have a dinosaur obsessed child to buy for, this dvd is the way to go. You might have to watch it first - the music can be a bit scary for the under 5's of a nervous disposition. Dubious science versus cartoons? I'm for dubious science all the way.
