In my opinion, compromise is the theme of the film. Charlotte doesn't end up with her chap, but she is infinitely better off at the end of the film than at the beginning.
It shows a succesfull cure to a mental illness. How uplifting that must have been in 1942. Before that, mentally ill characters in Hollywood movies were dragged screaming to asylums and never seen again.
It is my favorite fim of all time, and I would love to see it in a cinema to see Bette Davis' face 15 feet tall in a close up.

The Vicar of Dibley is funny. Very funny. My wife is a vicar, and she thinks that it is funny too. My Mum thinks that it is funny, even my brother would describe the Vicar of Dibley as funny. And this little collection of four seasonal episodes is the cream of the crop. All the seasons before this worked towards the storylines followed by these specials. They were the final pay off.
In short, if you have any Vicar of Dibley, if you are a fan in any way shape or form, these are the ones for you to buy and own and watch again and again. They are funny.

Blackadder has always been one of the funniest and best written British Sitcoms around and this forth and last series is one of the best from the shows run. The six episodes of the series all show-off the great script and the brilliant performances by both the main cast and the guest stars. All the cast seem to be thoroughly enjoying themselves throughout the series but alongside Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson, my favourite has to be Stephen Fry for his brilliant portrayal of General Melchett.
Each episode never ceases to be funny and the last episode of the series is still surprisingly touching despite the number of times that I have watched it. The one slight problem with the series is the laughter track that can be somewhat ... Read More:

This video explains in detail the basics of Pilates and gives you a good grounding. All the exercises are explained carefully and different ability levels catered for.
You will not feel particularly like you are "working out" whilst you do the moves, but you will notice a difference in your body. For me in particular, my abdominals became stronger and my spine lengthened and posture improved.
Once you have worked on this video for a while, you will feel the need to progress to something more challenging.

Mother and daughter, both outsiders, blow into stuffy old-fashioned French village (cobbled streets, quaint houses, romantic lamplight, no cars, no uncouth farmers) and bring with them the power to release the claustrophobic and straight-laced community from its inhibitions - not the first time on screen that this formula has been employed. What is unusual is the medium they use. Delicious and irresistible chocolate confectionery tempts everyone, and turns then into better, more liberated people. In the end, good defeats bad, love triumphs over hate, and everyone is released from cramping conventions to do their own thing. Very much a message of our times, in other words, and perhaps none the worse for that - though whether self-indulgence is always the ... Read More:

Buffy the vampire slayer is by far the best Sci-Fi show ever!! It's been written amazingly, the acting is phenomenal. It has such an amazing array of genres, like comedy, drama, romance, musical, horror and sci-fi. This season is in my opinion the best yet. The musical was amazing, the cast are truly talented. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a must-see program!

The War Games is an epic story that sees the departure of the cosmic hobo,Patrick Troughton, the iconic 2nd Doctor, long serving companion Jamie, played by Frazer Hines and the lovely,Wendy Padbury, playing super intelligent Zoe Heriot.
The story starts with the Doctor and his companions arriving in no man's land during WW1,the great twist being,it turns out to be an alien planet with aliens casually watching kidnapped earth men despataching each other, through reinactments of various wars.
The story goes on for 10 episodes and special praise must go to Malcolm Hulke and Terrance Dicks, for a highley imaginative script and the directon by the late,David Maloney is excellent.
The story is a lot more mature than others in season 6,setting the way for the ... Read More:
