I have liked this movie since I was a child and was sceptical when the Attenborough version came out - but delighted by the result.
This is a great feelgood Christmas movie that I have now shown to my 11 year old who loved it. It has all the charm of a Christmas story and you really want Chris Kringle to be the real Santa. Which, of course, he is.
Putting the two versions together - The original has a much stronger start and the remake has a better court scene and final scene. Perhaps one day there will be a combined version.

This is not as good as the other surviving Troughton stories but its still not bad.If you can get it for cheap on Amazon then give it a try.The Quarks are interesting and although a little padded the story is fun.The main villain in this story is the Dominator Rago who while not riseing to the same level as villains like the Master, the Daleks and the Ice-Warriors is much better than the Invisible Enemy and Kroll probably with Taren Capel and Gavrok.Troughton is good but the Dulcians(aside Cully) are dull and boring. The action is resonable and I like the plan to turn Dulkis into a radioactive source of power.Give The Dominators a chance.

In telling Schindler's story the director chose black and white and the beginning intimates that it might be in the great tradition of 'The Third Man' etc. Unfortunately the film meanders astray into detailed descriptions of the holocaust and the dynamic of the film is lost. Instead of a tense 1 hour 50 minutes of cunning, guile and threat there are literal hours when almost everything is 'spelt out' in many long takes and diversions. The great film techniques of suggestion and inference are little used as almost every action is shown literally and dramatic movement is lost to history lesson. It seems to me important that the dramatic 'backdrop' of any artistic production has to be understood and accepted for the story using that scenario to be successful and not ... Read More:

The most sophisticated spy in cinema returns for one of the best Bonds of the 70s as Roger Moore reprises the role as the British agent in Lewis Gilbert's action adventure.
007 travels to Egypt to find out who is behind the mysterious disappearing of submarines and he is helped by Russian agent Major Anya Amasova (Bach)
This is probably one of Moore's best performances as the secret agent as he delivers a lot of sophisticated lines and jokes into the role. His attitude towards the mission and the situations which arise are brilliant and his partnership alongside Bach is one of the best Bond partnerships ever made.
The plot is consistent and very interesting to see the relationship between the two agents grow and become tense and ... Read More:

Along with Robin Hood, this is my favourite Disney film (and probably has made me love foxes for life! :p). The plot is fantastic - I may have only been 5 when I first saw it but it still keeps me engaged now, 10+ years later.
Unlike Robin Hood, however, it has about four scenes where I cry; forget Bambi, this film has potential to be a true weepy when you're involved in it enough! Start to care about the main characters (Todd and Copper) and it's a never ending spiral.

This is Take That at their most popular and when performing live always gave 100%. They performed all their songs from the Everything Changes album with some extras including a very funny 50s Rock and Roll medley.

Once again Zenith North, the UK-based production team for this series of the televised Famous Five books, has excelled. True to the books in all but a few minor details, this series takes us back to the 1940's idyll in which children played from dawn till dusk in the heat of a glorious British summer.
In this double-bill, we meet the Five - Julian, Dick, George, Anne, and Timmy the dog - on their way to "Smugglers Top", a "rambling sort of a place", according to the children's Uncle Quentin, where they have been sent for the summer holidays. But all is not well at this ancient smugglers' haunt, where strange lights, mysterious marshes and underground tunnels abound. Team up with the Famous Five and discover who is responsible for the mysterious disappearances ... Read More:
