Im only 17years old and i am obsessed with Jane Austen! Ive watched both versions of Pride and Prejudice as it's my favourite of the Austen collection. I think Keira was better for the character Elizabeth Bennet for certain, but i think Colin firth was amazing at playing darcey as i find him so sexy, but Matthew Macfadyen created more chemistry between them both! I think in the newer version you can see the tension between them both all the time and your just shouting at the tv coz you get frustrated at them both. I think the newer version is sooo much better without a doubt, but the older one if still very good. Id personally prefer the newer one!!!!!

For any dancer this is brilliant!!!!! The characters are cleverly developed, showing dancers of different abilities, shapes and sizes! Liza minelli portrays Mavis who has been let down by the west end - yet finds a new career in teaching dance. Its a must see!

This musical is a true joy. I would place it within the 30 best musicals ever made. Some pseudo casting directors, music experts, and nit-picking purists, may disagree. I saw it recently at home with an audience which included all age groups: from a 7 year old, through a 60 year old cousin. They all agreed that they would like to see it again, some other time. To my judgment, the casting is ideal: Kathryn, fits well into the innocent damsel, who is swept off her feet, falling in love with the dashing gambler (Howard Keel). Joe E. Brown is perfect (as he makes believe his domineering wife, that he is hen-pecked) as he does what he wants, saying" yes dear. The opening sequence where we are shown the riverboat, the pier, the musical-traveling ... Read More:

This is FAB! I love MJ at the best of times, but he really surpassed himself with the Thriller album and video. "The Making of Thriller" is a great way to see Michael in his former glory, before the baby-dangling, the surgery and the funfair. He's so cute too!

I had to return my borrowed 'original' VHS tape and I didn't want the DVD (high up in a recent survey of most wanted gadgets: a button on a DVD remote labeled "Just play the goddam film"). When I received the tape I was disappointed to see "DIGITALLY MASTERED FOR SUPERIOR SOUND AND PICTURE QUALITY". Why do they lie like this? Luckily the sound has survived but the picture is awful compared to the very old, much played borrowed tape. The picture has a brownish tinge and soft focus all the way through.
The reason the tape is digitally 'mastered' is presumably the same as with digitally mastered LP's; so as not to show up the limitations of the new CD's and DVD's. However I can remember enough of the borrowed tape to continue to enjoy this wonderful ... Read More:

The Video cover shown is NOT for the animated version described - it is for the film (not animated) version of the Walt Disney film circa 1950? The film was a 'classic' starring Richard Todd, Joan Rice, Peter Finch and Hubert Gregg. I have seen it many times and have the VHS version as shown on your site. I had trouble finding a copy!

This was the first video I ever bought as a child and it's still one of my favourites. It's Disney's best film. The songs are fantastic and the story of Ariel, a mermaid who just wants to be a human and expereince all the things humans do, is brilliant.
17 years on from it's original release and the Little Mermaid is as good as it ever was. A must-see film for everyone!

seems there are lots of 5 star reviews for this film and whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion I just don't get it. It's a film from the 80s, not much happens, no one talks very much and then it ends.
A young man is framed by a psychotic hauer for some murders he is pursued by comical, Texas cop stereotypes whilst jumping round all the holes in the plot. That's about it. 'tense, gripping thrill ride'? I've had more excitement driving to work.
