Now FFVII (Final Fantasy 7/VII) was in short a masterpiece.

I am not over rating it as a fanboy it had flaws but it was one hell of a ride. This game is how that ride begins...

Now this like the game it spun off from isnt without its niggles. The combat needs a little tweaking and as normal the engilsh cast of actors are cheesy. But with a great story giving more depth to great cast FFVII it makes more than what is needed for a great game.

As a bonus for FFVII geeks (like myself) there are meny cameos from classics of the PS1 game meny moments from said game that are remade. Such as the (Not a spoller) the famous Nibelheim is remade (Which looks fantastic) with the classic flames moment. Plus most of the ... Read More:

The game itself is brilliant, the ideas are brilliant however I need to warn you of something which is not in the other two reviews.

Yes the graphics are amazing but at this moment in time there is a very noticeable glitch where it can take up to around 5-10 seconds for textures to load. This can be reduced to around 2-3 seconds if you install the game on the hard drive but this can become irritating.

Also there is a lot of load times between battles and scenarios with loading screens.

I am not going to go into detail in regards to how good this game is as the other reviews successfully do this , but please be warned of the above. Also please dont give this negative feedback as its not a review I wanted to highlight the ... Read More:

Manic, eye-bursting, headache-inducing random gameplay. I cannot go anywhere than where I am up to. No menu. No options. I was sooo excited about getting this and now it has just laid on the side for weeks. Boo!

The good points of this game are:
1. Voiced cut scenes.
2. Bosses take skill and strategy.
3. Lovely background music.
4. Beautiful graphics.
5. Amazingly gripping storyline.
6. Long lasting, but not too long lasting storyline.
7. Challenging.
There is only one bad thing about this game, it may be a bit to challenging.
So don't buy this game if your looking for a pushover.
If your looking for an amazing and challenging game then this is for you.

Being new to the DS which I got a few months ago I was getting very bored with Brain Training every day and started searching for a RPG and saw the excellent reviews for The World Ends With You. I must say it is every bit as good as everyone says. Completely addictive and a great storyline. As previously mentioned the dual play takes a little getting used to but it is great practising and you will win stuff along the way which will help you out. One piece of advice - keep saving as much as you can - you don't want to lose your hard work!

I was expecting it to be at least a bit like FFTA for the gba
but its nothing like it. You can't have all the creatures like moogles
and things, the fighting style is way too fast and it was really quite hard. My advice is, if you liked FFTA on gba and want something like it,
don't have this.

This is actually the 9th final fantasy game I have played. Funny that I have been very backward about Final fantasy but I am in the UK and the first FF game was the absolute classic 7th.

Anyway, this is nothing like other final fantasy games that have fixed characters and extremely long storyline. This game is a bit like Might and Magic that you need to decide your own jobs and character but the stats are fixed though.

One of the bad points about FF games is that they usually have no replay value. Not the version instalment. You can try different combination of the jobs and create your different parties.

Supporting magic is more helpful than later ff games because in later games, your character can be trained so strong that you can hit to damage cap. No ... Read More:

For all Dragon Quest fans, this is a must play! It's like going back to the old game - you play as 5 different sets of characters doing quests and fighting and then all come together for the last fight! I loved it, brought back the good old memories of Dragon Quest on PS2 that I spent hours playing too! Very good!

Final Fantasy Tactics has always appealed to those gamers who were looking for a FF game with a little extra kick, and let me tell you... this game has it in spades!

It begins with the same typical story, ripped straight from it's predecessor. Luso, a young boy, gets sucked into a magical book called a grimoire, and finds himself in the peculiar land of Ivalice. I'll spare you the torture of the the subsequent happenings, but it's all textbook fantasy from there on.

Luckily for me, and most other players, the story is not where this games strengths lie and is most definitely not the reason I bought it. Unlike other FF games, tactics relies heavily on what it's title would suggest and requires the player to do much more than simply hack n' blast through the enemies. You are ... Read More:

I love the final fantasy games, this was my first one on DS and i was hoping that since it was a new-ish game it would have a really good storyline and gameplay. I found that it was quite easy, there were no mini-games really and there was just the one storyline - whereas the final fantasy games are usually quite complex and take a while to master - altogether i found this game boring and not challenging enough to make me want to complete it!
There are some good things about it though, the battle sequences are good and it is quite fun to play if you don't like complticated storylines.
