I bought this initially to plug into my ASUS - Eee PC 701 4G blue (UK version) (I know it's supposed to be a challenge to get it working on Linux). The A6 size seemed perfect for mobile computing but the actual tablet is quite a bit bigger (195 x 197 x 11 mm). Don't fancy lugging it around so it's on my home PC running XP. Using it as a mouse was a bit awkward at the start. The mouse mode was all over the shop so I kept it in pen mode but you have to move your hand to get at the lower right portion of the screen. Changing the tracking area on the tablet solves this but when you come to drawing you'll want to change it back for more precision. Works perfectly, does the job, could have been more portable.

I bought this laptop after seeing a friends in use for 3 months. My friend had no problems, but the one I bought (and its replacement) both had faults and were returned. Amazon's returns policey was very good and I obtained a refund without any hassle.
The moral is, IF YOU BUY ONE - CHECK IT OUT THOROUGHLY; especially the functions that you don't use so often.

first off, note this tablet has an A5 sized work area, but maps itself to the screen you have (I'm using it on a 27" and its more than fine).
It has 4 customizable buttons, for ease of use I've set mine to load Firefox, MSN Mesenger, Back and Forward buttons for Web / Folder navigation.
You can pretty much map the buttons to what you want, even a series of keystrokes!
This tablet works with both XP and Vista.
For Vista, it's fantastic.
for XP, its good.
Vista gives a lot more options for use, such as holding down the pen to simulate a double-click, handwriting recognition, quick "flicks" of the pen for scroll up / down and Back / Forward etc.
I bought this laptop because of it's low price and its boast of 80GB. Only to discover it's much lower so it got sent back but asked for a replacement. That came swiftly enough but it had the same GB. Then on the same day, after installing just one programme, I was forced to use the restore to factory settings utility as the laptop simply would not shut down - even closing the lid did not help it turn off so I had to wait for the battery to wear itself out. Thankfully once it was restored everything so far has been plain sailing, (thank God), and now I can say it's a great little machine.
It's light and not bad looking. I do have a problem with the amount of software already on it - a little too much for my liking especially as many of ... Read More:

This is the first tablet I have used and it is making life a lot easier, as I have problems with my muscles and using my hands so the mouse is now almost redundant. The "artrage" software is a lot of fun and easy to use, so all in all it has been an excellent buy.

Try making a button for a web page and exporting it using Coreldraw X3. It's a very frustrating process. The background that should be transparent isn't and neither is the circle shape of the button round. Useless. Does other things well enough but certainly has serious flaws with regard to web graphics. I wonder if I could have bought something better.
Also the Corel website does not allow an open forum for purchasers. Draw your own conclusioms.

I got this tablet not for drawing, signing, or commenting. The primary reason was because the use of the computer mouse was staining my hand and arm. I heard about this alternative while visiting a university in which an ergonomic specialist prescribed these tablets for everyone as an alternative to the mouse. Since I started using Bamboo, I no longer have strain problems with my arm.
If you experience, or fear experiencing, Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), this is a great tool.

I had recently been looking to buy a tablet so i could do all the cool stuff one can do with such a tablet (mainly just to mess about to fill the spare time). As i am not a professional nor employed *cough* student, i could not justify the high prices that tablets such as those of the wacom variety demand so i settled for this. I was slightly hesitant as to the quality of the tablet due to the low price and the several some what negative reviews here on amazon, however saying that I went ahead and purchased this tablet.
Now, you must take what i say with a pinch of salt as i've had no experience with other tablets, so i can't comment relative to other tablets on the market. But, I am impressed with the tablet. The build of the tablet itself is as ... Read More:

If you are in any way serious about digital art, this is not a product for you. It doesn't even stand up to the basic 'ruler test', in other words if you draw a line with a ruler from one corner diagonally to another, the line isn't straight. If it can't cope with a straight line, how can anyone hope to create anything on it at all?
If you want a graphics tablet, save up and get a Wacom (or even get one of the cheaper Wacom tablets, which are at least ten time better).
I can't seem to put no stars, so it'll have to be just one.
