This is a highly competent laptop. The ergonomics are excellent and it really looks stylish with a glossy but durable finish - the inside having an alloy look while the piano black exterior features a "swirl pattern" which adds style and interest. The screen, keyboard and pressure pad are excellent whilst the Altec Lansing sound system is very good by laptop standards. Battery life is a good average. In terms of performance it is fast and the 2GB of RAM and Core 2 T5450 processor give it plenty of punch that is needed to drive Windows Vista Home Premium. An amazing piece of kit, the Graphire will transform the way you work, both in a 3d modelling environment and of course, photoshop. I think that the graphire represents good value for money, with 512 levels of pressure sensitivity. Don't be suckered into buying cheaper unbranded tablets as they will give your terrible performance and jitters. What do you get? You get the tablet, the pen and the mouse. The mouse is worth throwing in the box. You won't want to replace old faithful: you buy the graphire for the pen, and boy does it perform. In modelling packages, you will eventually get good at knowing just where the pen will fall when you're looking at the screen. It's just something that comes to you, and ...
