Nice looking basic laptop however why it is shipped with just 512MB of memory is beyond me. Vista basic is basic but is intensely memory hungry! I have just replaced the 512MB with 2GB (£29 from Crucial). It now works really well.
So don't buy this, buy a better model with at least 1GB memory and Vista Home Premium. You will save yourself a lot of frustration and extra cost.

Acer Aspire 8920G Laptop Notebook, Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, 2.0GHz, 18.4" TFT, 4GB Memory, 320GB Hard-drive, DVD±RW, Dedicated Graphics Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS, Blu Ray, Integrated Web Cam, Blue tooth, WiFi, Finger Print Reader, Vista Home Premium
I was looking for a new laptop, I must admit I did not really want to shell out £900, but this laptop was well worth it.
The screen is excellent, blueray movies show it is outstanding capabilities. I have also used it for work, being a widescreen you can see multiple documents at once. Using it with MS Project really showed how width matters since you could easily read Gantt chart entries.

I got one of these for Christmas a while back; I was quite happy with it at the time, since I had no previous experience with graphics tablets and no expectations whatsoever. After a couple of months I noticed that the tablet was losing track of my pen movements more often (it had done this from the start, but not so much). Changing nibs and batteries made no change.
Nowadays if I were to draw a straight line across the tablet, it would either not register at all, or register as a series of haphazard dashes. It's absolutely useless as a drawing implement. The entire premise of a tablet is to give a natural flow to your lines, but this is less natural than using a mouse with your foot.
