Well first off the blurb said it was compatible with p4 cpu's unfortunalty its only the latest 'non pin cpu's' not all pentium 4's,so if you cpu has 'pins' on the back of it it will not work with this motherboard.Best idea is to to go to gigabyte homepage and check the cpu list of compatible cpu's.
I bought two of these, one for me and the wife and one worked fine (as i thought) while the other would not even start up.Later on the one that "did work" started to blue screen and crash for no reason at all.
I bought both mine (through amazon) from pixmania (france)and so far im having a lot of hassle in getting a refund or replacement.

There is no doubt, this cooler looks good. However it is very poorly designed. I managed to fit it, after several hours struggle. It is attached by two very tiny screws which kept popping out of the base of the cooler. Once secured to the board it is very unstable and would not provide adequate cooling. In summary I would not recommend this to anyone. Not only is it near impossible to fit, it is very loose when you have succeeded.
