I recieved this as a gift and am delighted with all aspects of this device. I note various complaints on the product-
But a)If people cannot work a suction on the end of the device SHOULD THEY BE DRIVING ANYWAY- Probably not.
b) Unit switches itself off- Mine doesnt- TomTom would have tested this product for such errors- Therefore few and far between.
The maps are clear( some errors with roads but use common sense)
Bluetooth works well- Website lists all compatatle phones.
I recommend this product for people that can use electronic equipment without moaning about the tinist of things.

I had the TomTom Go 700, which is a fantastic piece of kit, so when my daughter moved to University I thought I would treat myself to a new TomTom 720 and give my old 700 to my daughter.
Having waited over a month for delivery I was sure that it would have the latest maps - however on my first journey the first two roundabouts were missing and the third was there but it treated it as a turn. Not a good start, but then again this is Norfolk and not so well populated.
The traffic thing is a bit bizarre. I can't say I really understand it. For example travelling from Norwich to London(along the A11/M11) it gave a warning then increased my journey time to 7 hours. So I ignored its route and went towards the A12, to which it ... Read More:

This is fantastic. The sound quality is stunning. Very easy to set up and use. Can only be used with Skype, so expensive for limited VOIP access, but still amazing.

It's a good job there were two ways to fix the holder to your car, the clips to fix to the dashboard vents broke the first time I used them, they looked flimsy and indeed they were! The suction pad works great though, especially if you rest the holder on the top of the dashboard.
The adjustable holder means I can use my phone or Sat Nav which is handy!

I've had a Syrius 600 plus for about a month now. I bought it to replace a built-in (Audi) sat nav device as the car goes back in a few months' time. For navigation, this is better. The display showing separate turn screen is really neat, much better than the Audit unit and better than other sat navs I've seen. The blue tooth work really well, my only criticism being that it doesn't synchorize with (or read from) my mobile phone address book. I think the TomTom 720 does this.
The speed camera indicator is really good, with a great display. The previous reader who wants a camera detector is expectiong too much. Very few do this. I do have a separate DriveSmart camera device, with preloaded camera positions and laser detector. I've had this for ... Read More:
