I was after a cycle computer that was easy to setup and didnt have wires trailing over the bike or a magnet attached to the wheel. GPS was therefore the way to go so having looked around I went for this unit. I didnt go for the more expensive Edge units as they had extra functionality I wasnt interested in. I also already own a Garmin in-car sat-nav so knew the product should be good. The system is easy to setup and you do have to update the software in the unit itself as well as the Garmin training centre that you load onto your PC/laptop. You create a user and bike profile so the computer knows the combined weight of you and your bike, this is so it can show you how many calories you are burning as you cycle. This is the one accessory that I would recommend for all owners of Touch Diamond. You wouldn't want to scratch your new Diamond, now would you. It's so shiny and sleek, and you want to keep it that way. This pouch will keep the Diamond safe. It looks very good (it's a worthy cover for the diamod), and doesn't add much to the dimensions of the small Diamond.
It's basically a leather pouch that is open from both ends and has a strap inside it. So you can push your diamond into it from either end (it's symmetrical) and the strap makes sure it stays in. It's very snug fit for the diamond, there is no danger that it would slip out from there. When you want to take your diamond out of the pouch, you just push it from the other end and pull it out. ... I bought the 305 mainly because I wanted wireless Cadence and a Heart Rate Monitor on the same machine, to keep me inline with training goals over the winter. Set-up of the gear was easy, it does what it says during training, and the analysis options on the provided software allow you to track and log your training efficiently. Having a large customisable display makes it perfect for my training. The GPS is a bonus to me - I haven't really made the most of it, but look forward to programming some routes when the summer returns. Safe to say, I'm happy with my purchase!
