The machine had performed superbly. Less than superb has been Palm's customer service. After seven months of use (into a 12-month warranty), the On/Off switch broke. Palm would not book this as a free-of-charge repair; the damage was "cosmetic", not covered by warranty. Not very cosmetic if you cannot switch the machine on and off. Endless eMail exchanges with their customer service over a period of about eight weeks failed to budge them an inch. Each time I thought I had convinced them, they invented a fresh reason not to honour the guarantee. Despairing, I turned to Amazon, and said that I might have to make a claim against them as retailer under the UK Sale of Goods Act. Within 90 minutes they mailed to say that a fresh ... I bought this keyboard to use with my Palm TX. It was quick and easy to set up and works really well. The previous reviewer found the space bar a bit fiddly: I have not found this to be a problem. Using the keyboard solves all the niggling problems of the TX touchscreen. Indeed, as the previous reviewer found, this keyboard just about allows the TX to replace your laptop.

I have Tom Tom 6 on DVD. It's an excellent GPS system and recognizes all postcodes I've stuck in. It has great functionality with itinery planning as well.
Only two small bad points; You can't customize the warning sounds very easily, whenever I pass a speed camera I have to make do with some bizarre whistle sound and secondly, you can only install it on two products. If you buy a GPS phone for example, you have to send the original receipt for the phone to Tom Tom before they'll give you a third code, something that isn't made clear in their sales information Apart from that, all good. >>More Details |

I just bought the TomTom Navigator 6 complete with bluetooth GPS and complete Western Europe Maps on SD card. The GPS works fine and it was great having everything on an SD card instead of having to copy from a CD-ROM. The software and bluetooth perform better than the wired TomTom GPS and Navigator 3/5 versions that I had previously used. My one complaint is that I am restricted to using the GPS on just one PDA, not that I had thought this might be a problem when I bought it. Now my XDA Exec has developed a fault and it is just one month outside of the warranty period. This means I will need to buy a new PDA and new GPS, as TomTom will not allow me to install the system on a different machine. I don't expect this will cause many people ... Read More:
