since i bought the adapter i have had no problems with it. i didnt realy expect it to work with my packard bell laptop but it did plus i found that two pins were compatible with my laptop which i was pleased about. the delivery was also quicker than i expected; it only took two days.
on that basis i recommend this adapter even though it is not the cheapest on the market.

I bought this instead of getting a CD player for my car, since most of my music is on my Creative Zen player anyway, and have had problems from day one. The sound from the tape itself is loud, the sound cuts out every so often while the tape clicks and makes loud sounds (maybe trying to switch sides), and sometimes after cutting out it comes back at a completely different volume, which could actually be pretty dangerous when it suddenly blasts out the speakers at twice the volume, as well as always having to adjust the volume instead of watching the road. The build quality is also poor - it feels cheap and the cable fibres eventually wore out meaning the volume and balance changes depending on how the wire's bent. When it is working, the sound ... Bought this charger because of the 15min charge time and it's reasonable price compared to others. However I had difficulties from day one trying to charge the batteries that come with the unit. They are hit and miss. The annoying thing was that when the unit refused to charge the supplied batteries (which was indicated by a flashing red light) it had to be left for a while (sometimes hours) before it would charge successfully. The last time I attempted to charge the batteries, the unit started to smell of burning and smoke came out.

For £6.15 from Amazon for a 6-way Belkin surge protector you can't really grumble. Foe £1 more you can get one with a 3m cable but I didn't need one that long

Given that the same adapter can often be referenced by numerous different part numbers, depending on which series or version of HP notebook you own, getting the right replacement can seem confusing. In my opinion, it pays to buy OEM kit rather than after-market compatable and this is exactly that. An original HP unit that exactly matches the specification of the part numbers given. What's more, the price is no more than many are asking for a generic non-original unit. Indeed, it was an agent in the HP Total Care team that e-mailed me the link to Laptop-adapter.co.uk in response to my query about where to buy from - and I guess you can't get a much better endorsement than that.
