If you worked out what it costs per unit of electricity to use disposable batteries, you'd buy rechargeables to fit all your portable power needs. These ones seem to work well.

The "high power" non-rechargeable batteries that came with my new camera lasted less than a day. These Duracell Supreme just seem to go on and on and on, and the flash seems to recharge loads quicker than with standard photo batteries. Highly recommended.

Fact: I have tried 'compatible' batteries from Amazon Market Place. For me they did not work and were returned. This Sony original was my last hope. Since I have first used it I have not had one seconds problem.
For me the compatible route was a mistake as, for me, they discharged far too quickly and did not give me notice of their demise - they just ran out. This Sony original (as a back up for the original I have) works great. By all means give the compatibles a go, if it works stick with them. I have spent as much money trying 3 compatibles - I should have just purchased this from the start. I will not make the same mistake again - I will go the original route from the off. >>More Details |

I really have noticed that duracell 9 volt batteries last longer and provide more of a shock to my tounge than most 9 volt batteries. They are also hardwearing, not that this is particularly important for a battery, but there are some cheap ones that break basically from falling on the floor! These batteries managed to power a range of electrical appliances in my house, and that is all I`m asking of them. Let`s face it: batteries are basic, and with these ones perfection is almost there. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because they are not rechargable - simple as that. ive used this twice now to charge my radio and i have only got 10hours play back time on each occassion.dont know if the batteries drain quickly because it isnt a very strong signal where i use it ,or that it depends on how lloud you have got it on.all in all i found this product fairly useful.

"Spare" battery. Pretty much essential for all but the most casual of users. So, if you're using the likes of a D80 and above you're probably a "keen amateur". (For once marketplace cheaper than Amazon direct!)
