After a very poor experience with the similar Kodak Zi6 product (not purchased from Amazon) the store suggested I give the Flip Mino a go. I'd seen a lot about Flip in the press so I was intrigued if it would live up to all the hype. What can I say, wow, it does more than live up to the hype - its fantastic! Its just so simple to use and the picture and sound quality is brilliant (It comes with the correct cable to plug into your TV). I then plugged into my PC and the very intuitive software is a real dream...its so easy. You can email your clips, 'one-touch' up-load to all your favorite sites like You Tube, My space etc, and if you really want to add a touch of professionalism to your clips you can even edit and mix your clips and add your ... Now this looks a very smart camcorder as was pleased when opened the box. Very confusing though when you try to get it started. Cannot register it either. When trying to register it with the disc it will only register it if you live in the states (although purchased on Amazon UK). So i tried online and that will still not register either. Filming was good though which we bought specifically for our new addition to the family. Recorded a whole dvd's worth. Could not get the disc out to use it for a friends wedding though. When finally it decided to eject i took it out and then put it back in the camcorder (for some reason i really don't know why i did) and it formatted it without me even touching it. Not good with a little one around. I lost ... Read More:

What an amazing little gadget! The picture and sound quality are exceptional considering the price tag and it's so easy to use that even my slightly techno-phobe husband could take footage. I'm having a little trouble emailing videos but I'm hoping that will iron itself out in time. I'd recommend buying a USB cable as I felt that using the integral USB arm is a bit precarious. I'm still giving the Flip 5 stars though, as I love it and and am so glad I bought it to preserve memories of my baby daughter. :-)

This is my first camcorder and i love the size/weight/ease of use etc but have one major complaint. The supplied software for editing and playback on a p.c. is 'hd writer 2.5'. Unfortunately, although i checked my p.c. has the necessary processing power (over 1Ghz, vista etc),the software will not replay any footage taken with the camera. I believe this is due to the avchd format it uses to record, apparently this is incompatible with most p.c's . Fine, but this would be a useful thing to know before purchasing. Panasonic don't seem to have any support in place to get over this problem so any ideas would be welcome.
First off let me say that I have never written a review on here, ever!
But I've seen some bad reviews of this camera and THEY ARE NOT JUSTIFIED! So much so ime writing this review.
I didn't want much, just to video tape family events and competitions I attend (martial artist) and for £200 I wasn't expecting alot.
However this little camera impressed me straight out of the box.
Charging time (for the small battery) is very quick, the controls are so simple a child could operate them; the quality on ultra fine is well fine!
Furthermore the optical zoom is amazing, I live in a large valley and I managed to zoom in on a house wayyyyy down and on the other side (it looked like a white spec in the distance to me!), ... Read More:

This is a fantastic little camcorder, good audio and video quality, ridiculously easy to use. But it is listed as a HD camcorder, which it isn't.

I bought this Sony TG3 video camera, having spent hours researching both Sony + Panasonic + Canon. I have stated some facts below that I have struggled to find on most reviews so hope it helps.
I am pretty clued up when it comes to gadgets, but I have to say even with my knowledge, the offerings out there from the 3 above manufacturers is not easy to compare when you have different formats- hard drives, memory stick, DV etc......!
I decided on the Sony memory stick option as many users of the HD camcorders complain about slow start up time and apparently they are VERY slow when trying to edit the footage on your PC. Also the HD video cameras are much heavier & bulkier.
Bought one for Myself & then another for my parents as they were impressed with mine. Went onto the Creative website as there is a firmware update to download that improves the picture quality etc. Also got a USB mains charger for about £2.00 as you can then charge it anywhere. The battery lasts for a while anyway. For a VGA camera the picture quality is really good and it is a no-brainer to use which is a relief for most people! As an everyday point & shoot video camera it is brill. If you are a professional film maker or you want a camera that works in the dark or want to take distance videos then you will need something more than this but on the whole I would definately recommend this.

The Sony HDRSR is an excellent quality digital camcorder. Quite expensive but certainly worth the money for all the features it has.
The camcorder is very easy to use and didn't take me long to get used to the controls and how to tweak them. It's sturdy in your hand and very light. My old camcorder (now resigned to the attic) was a Sony that took those small cassette videotapes (it also weighed a ton) so this is a refreshing change. The viewing screen is large and uses touch screen for navigation. I found this to be an excellent way to get around all the camcorders features but if you have large fingers you may find it a bit tricky (some of the icons are quite small).
Saving movies is also extremely easy as the camcorder uses an onboard hard drive or ... Read More:
