as far as home photo printers the EX7 is king. photo paper is excellent and hence the photo quality is pure shop quality
initially lesser printers can come up to the sony but when photo is placed in direct sunlight most other photos will fade.......not the photos from this bad boy.
i suppose sending the photos to an online store is a cheaper way but having this printer at home will give you the versatility the wait (and royal mail) does not give you especially on home projects or when deadlines are approaching.

The idea of bamboo paper is great, the colour, a natural warm tone is gorgeous, but the texture is a bit too blotty for my liking, not smooth enough or textured anough. It means that Dye inks tend to sink in a bit too much and you can not get super fine details (but I am fussy). It is however great for slightly moody shots and performs better with pigment inks. But if you have a standard A4 printer (most use dye), keep it for either old photo reproduction or scrap booking.
