I've been waiting for some time for lcd frames to come down in price and be offered by major manufactures at a reasonable price. This had now happened with Amazon and the Philips digital frame. The colour/image quality is very good and the interface intuitive - in essence you don't need to read the instruction manual. There are some downs, but at the price, you should live with these. Most notable, there is no internal storage so you need to use a memory card with the frame. This is probably currently in your digital camera so you'll need to buy a new one. These are very cheap though starting at far less than £10.

This is an attractive LCD frame that has the advantage of changeable frames. The screen resolution is good and the user interface very straightforward. At the discounted price here it's a far better investment than the cheapest 7 inch frames which only cost a little less. This is, after all, from a well-known manufacturer. One thing to remember is that you'll need to buy a memory card. As with other less expensive models the frame has no internal memory. Without this the frame won't display your pictures!

A fair product but whenever I change the display settings, as soon as the slideshow reaches the end, the settings revert to their original mode, which is very irritating.
Perhaps I'm being stupid, but I can't find any way to contact Amazon or Mustek to get help. The instruction manual for the product is minimal, to say the least! >>More Details |

Given that most cameras produce pictures with a ratio of 2:3, why does this product use a 5:3 ratio (800 x 480 pixels). Unless you carefully crop your pictures, the top and bottom will be chopped off - not very friendly!

Initially I gave this frame 5 stars and a very favourable review but I've been using it a fair bit since and there are a couple of niggles that I think are worth pointing out. Firstly the fact that some edits made in Photoshop or other apps appear to prevent the frame from displaying these images (you just get a question mark instead). This does not happen for all edited images (many of mine worked fine) and I eventually got the duds to work by re-exporting from Photoshop. However it's a bug that Sony should have identified and ironed out. However, worse is the cropping issue - I can't be doing with a landscape frame showing landscape shots with either black bars either side or zoomed in using the 'fit to screen' feature which wrecks my composition ... I was attracted to this photo frame by the previous reviews. I added some photos to the frame, as this was going to be a present for someone who is not very technically minded. I found the frame very easy to use, quite intuitive really - this point is important as the instructions are very poor. However, I was very disappointed by the quality of the playback. I know this frame is not meant to be high resolution, but the grainy quality of the images was very poor, especially when compared to the HP frame that I bought at the same time.

I was looking for a digital frame as a present for my Dad, who finds it very easy to dislike things, especially if he finds them difficult to operate. I decided on this one as it was a known manufacturer, good price and had a remote control. I was a bit sceptical about the picture quality and ease of use, having seen a few less than impressive budget models in the shops. However, on receiving this - amazingly quickly - I was relieved. Nicely made, good picture quality for the family snaps it will be used for, intuitive operation and simple instruction manual. cracking little photo frame, sits neatly on my desk powered by usb, exactly what I wanted. Has it's own software that loads when you connect to usb from the unit, easy to use. I'm going to buy another one for my girlfriend.

We had been looking round for a few months for a digital photo frame but they all seemed rather old fashioned. We read the remarks regarding this particular frame and felt that this one was worth trying. It looks good; is very stylish and modern; and very easy to operate. We were concerned about the negative comments regarding the slide show feature re-starting at the beginning each time it is turned off, but we have found we can start the slide show from any picture using the thumb nail feature, so we haven't found it a problem.
