This charger is clearly marketed as charging 4 2700mAh batteries in one hour. It doesn't. Despite Amazon's listing saying so, the instructions state 2 hours, which is how long it takes.
Charger works fine, but if you want a one hour charger for 4 batteries, look elsewhere for one more honestly described... >>More Details |

This is a fantastic piece of equipment. I tell you now, if you can afford one then get it! Regardless of what you take photos of, you can use this to further your photography and take it to new levels. I am an am' wedding photographer, with this flash you can just switch it to E-TTL and bounce 'till your hearts content. I have not explored all the features, but the wide angle diffuser is really handy with my 10-20mm Sigma. I'm not entirely sure about the catchlight panel, but you can throw a little light directly forward with bounce at the same time which really adds another tool to your belt.

What can I say...I'm impressed! Do you the feeling of going for your batteries, just to remember that you forgot to charge them and now you have no time?! Well...that will not happen with this ones! :-) As they say, these batteries can hold the charge for more than 5 months after charged. It's like buying batteries...but you can re-charge them over and over again!

I got this grip to fit onto my 40D purchased at the same time. Previously I had a 20D with the earlier BG-E2 grip and had nothing but problems with that grip on that body. Power would suddenly fail without warning often in the middle of a burst and meant I lost shots. It would do this seemingly at random so could never predict it happening. The only way to clear the fault was to remove the batteries and grip from the body, leave for a few miniutes then replace it. Some days it would behave, on others it happened up to half a dozen times. Because of the fault it meant I had to constantly keep removing and reattaching it and this eventualy led to it getting stuck half removed from the camera due to the gears inside seizing up.
