The viewfinder isn't very accurate and can result in disappointing prints. In addition, the viewfinder can easily break as it's just a piece of plastic screwed on. The 'scroll' to place the film in is quite flimsy and that can easily get damaged too. Also, you can only take pictures outside as the camera hasn't got a flash function.

Having previously owned a Nikon F55, I was interested to see how I could develop my photography using the model up - I haven't been disappointed. This is a lightweight unit and it does almost everything I can imagine wanting to do (though I did buy it with a 100-300 zoom). The range of flash options means it is highly adaptable and the additional night-time programme setting has proved much more useful than I thought it might! At the same time, there is considerable flexibility to adjust everything manually. The only real down side is the slightly slow and cumbersome selection process for the focussing grid, but that is only a problem when you're setting up a specific shot.
