A superbly well written book which covers a wide subject area concisely. This book manages to be interesting and informative, and certainly has benefits to give those who follow its wise words. As the son of a person who is suffering final stage bowel cancer i believe that i am in a good position to judge the truth of the content of Juicing Therapy. Just three weeks ago, my mother was lacklustre and without energy, after reading and 'digesting' the information in Dr Jensens book (and obviously using it), there is a considerable improvement. Nothing else we've tried has worked! This book has information that should be of interest to all those who need or like to look after their health - and in my experience it is solid information.

If you have an interest in health this is a great book to read. Wheatgrass has a long history of curing all kinds of ill health and this book provides not only the data to support the health benefits, but also shows you how to prepare your own fresh wheatgrass. I take wheatgrass every day now and can really feel the benefit, either fresh or freeze dried from www.wheatgrassuk.com.

Pert has done a first class job of making the scientific link between the role of consciousness, the way it's facilitated by the brain and its resultant effect upon body chemistry (neuro-peptides/hormones carrying molecules of emotion that have the potential to change our DNA).

I bought this book for my Mom who had just been on a one day course in Bristol on how to live with cancer and how food can help. Both my Mom and Dad found the course very useful, so I thought I'd buy them a book that would hopefully back up what they had learnt.
This book is fantastic - so my Mom says, it backs everything up that she learnt on her course, and is written in a precise and clear way, that she can understand. The recipes are most useful. One of the authors was actually the tutor on the course, and the other was the oncologist.
This book is a must if you are living with cancer and have just found out (like my Mom did) that she is not to have any dairy products in her diet.

I was introduced to this book by a deciple of Ann Wigmore, who was teaching a class in living foods. After a short time on the diet I was able to stop taking my hypo-thyrodism medication forever. The book is recommended as a great starter in uncooked foods, as it is inexpensive and gives the theory behind the recipes. Chapter titles: 1) AN APPLE A DAY OR HAVE IT YOUR WAY, 2) LET FOOD BE YOUR MEDICINE, 3) THE SECRET OF HEALTH, 4) KEEPING YOUR BODY CLEAN, 5) THE HIPPOCRATES DIET, 6) INDOOR GARDENING FOR BEGINNERS, 7) SUPER NUTRITION FROM SPROUTS, 8) WHEATGRASS MIRACLES, 9) APPLES AND ORANGES AREN'T THE SAME, 10) HIPPOCRATES DIET RECIPES, 11)THE HIPPOCRATES DIET AND WEIGHT LOSS.

Finally, I've found somebody who has told me that dieting doesn't work and actually PROVED to me that he's right! I never would have believed it but I've found the solution to my health and weight problems all in one book (or two - because I found the 7 lbs in 7 days juicing plan an absolute 'must'). This man talks little rubbish, doesn't pussy-foot around with words and makes complete and utter sense just as long as you're open to admitting it! You really cannot disagree with anything here. Whether you follow the plan itself or not, I would defy anybody who reads this book not to think twice before diving into that packet of biccies or frying up a pound of sausages - and perhaps (even hopefully??) choosing an alternative.
Ths book is very well lay out. It has sections for what fruit contains which vitimins and minarels and what they promotted to help, such as colds, artherites, fatigue, healthy skin, nails and bones etc. This book is a must for any body who enjoys juicing and cares about their health!1

I looked at this book because I heard a lot about it and wanted to see for myself what all the fuss was all about. My first clue that this book was a horse of a different color was when I found it in the "metaphysical" section of the bookstore.
I have to be honest though, I never made it through the whole book. It centers around this "spirit" called Abraham and all the advice and teaching it gave to the authors.
Definitely for the "New Age" crowd, if this kind of thing interests you, then for the type of book that it is, its a good one. The book has 22 sections, whose purpose is to help you achieve your goals in life by asking you some reflective types of questions- which I did find motivating. Although not my cup of tea, the ... I am delighted with this book. Started off with the walnut & raisin cakes - actually dates, almonds, walnuts, raisins. My husband loves them so I make double batches every few days, and it stops him eating choc bars! Cucumber soup for dinner guests was next - absolutely delicious, one I intend to make again and again. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with the photos or the book itself. All looks fine to me. Thoroughly recommend it. Am looking forward to trying out some more recipes.
