I wanted to buy this book for a long time but it seemed that i was always put off in buying it. Maybe it was some higher power i dont know. But i wish i had listened to that gut feeling.
In one chapter of the book Dr Jensens says that he often had strict vegetarians complain about the use of animal and animal by-products whilst on the bowl cleanse. He goes on to say that "the postive effects of the bowel cleanse will out weigh the negatives of using animal products"
I dont think he understood that vegertarians refrain from using animal products of any kind because they believe it is unnecessary suffering and cruel.
Also he advises to make your own colonic irrigation system. Its all here what to get, how ... Read More:

I love this book, infact I love juicing. Jason is a great inspiration and juicing certainly helped me to a healthier and trimmer body. I have tried most of the recipes and all of them taste wonderful. The vegetable ones are a great way to use up the excess stock from my allotment.
I didn't even buy this book - it came free with my juicer, now that's a bargain.

Absolutely amazing book. The workings of the human body explained in simple terms and in a way that makes far more sense to me than conventional thinking. Ehret explains how every disease that humans suffer is caused through wrong diet and how a cure for every disease is possible through a change in diet. His teachings have cured many thousands of people whose conditions were diagnosed by "Medical Science" as incurable and, in many cases, terminal. His teachings have stood the test of time and "Medical Science" is very slowly discovering what he had discovered almost a century ago. Unfortunately, I believe that commercial interests may prevent this method of teaching from being accepted. However, if his teachings were to be adopted and practised ... Read More:

You won't need a juicer to appreciate this readable reference on juicing (and using) a variety of fruits and vegetables. A medical anthropologist and author of other books on the healing properties of foods, Dr. Heinerman now focuses on juicing. After you choose an ailment (or a fruit or a vegetable), you will respect Dr. Heinerman's scholarship in compiling the beneficial uses of juices. Each chapter on a juice (for instance, "Lettuce Juice") documents its botanical history, description, usage and nutritive values. The anecdotes and testimonials provide strong evidence for the therapeutic qualities of fruits and vegetables -- and their juices. Any juicer you buy will get you started with some good recipes, and this text will augment your choices ... Read More:

There is no doubt about it - "western style" diets cause heart disease, obesity, cancers, etc. The "dieases of civilisation" as they call them. But how any decent scientist can draw the conclusions they do in the China Study is beyond me.
The idea that animal products cause cancer and other diseases is rediculous. The foods in the Western Diet that cause the cancers, the heart diseases are the highly processed foods that we tend to eat. They are high in sugar or high in sugar and fat (the worst combo there is). They have no nutritional value you to them except empty calories - ice-cream, soft drinks, cakes, pastries, pasta, rice, etc.
You can't eat the above types of foods and expect to be healthy. Considering most in the west ... Read More:

Ive been a personal trainer for a while now and ive always questioned our so called correct nutrition, when i read this it made more sense then any textbook ive read and so now ive incorporated it into my diet, im not fully raw yet but i plan to be by end of year.
great read and insightful.
give this a read and it might just open your eyes or at least start the process.
Finally, I've found somebody who has told me that dieting doesn't work and actually PROVED to me that he's right! I never would have believed it but I've found the solution to my health and weight problems all in one book (or two - because I found the 7 lbs in 7 days juicing plan an absolute 'must'). This man talks little rubbish, doesn't pussy-foot around with words and makes complete and utter sense just as long as you're open to admitting it! You really cannot disagree with anything here. Whether you follow the plan itself or not, I would defy anybody who reads this book not to think twice before diving into that packet of biccies or frying up a pound of sausages - and perhaps (even hopefully??) choosing an alternative.
