I am a huge Annabel Karmel fan and each of her books is eagerly awaited by myself. This particular book is the most used out of all the recipe books in my kitchen, so much so that I had to order another copy as the first one fell to bits! I know there are a couple of fiddly recipes in the book (such as the basketweave chicken breasts, which I don't even look at!) but the others more than make up for it. All the pasta recipes in particular have been staple meals in my household for the past three or so years. The cake section is also fantastic as I do a lot of baking, the ideas for decorations are excellent. I urge you to try the Divinely Decadent Fruity Dark Chocolate Bars, they are gorgeous.

I am a huge Annabel Karmel fan and I buy all of her books. I did enjoy this one, although I don't use the recipes for lunchboxes as my children wouldn't eat the suggestions for sandwiches, etc. They got teased by their friends for bringing "healthy" food to school, which was a real shame! They do like the items from the "sweet" section, though! I recommend this book to anyone who needs a bit of inspiration for making packed lunches as it is crammed full of delicious and mouthwatering recipes!

I have found this book really helpful for ideas for my 5yr old and I can see the potential for even more as she gets older and her tastes change. The Headteacher has even commented on her lunch box being so healthy and interesting looking!

I am a huge Annabel Karmel fan and have been buying her books since the birth of my first child over 10 years ago. Each of her new books gives me inspiration in the kitchen and confidence to try new things with my two children. This book has been used extensively since I bought it last September. I also use it for the cookery club I run at the primary school where I am a teaching assistant. We particularly love the chewy trail mix bars. I know some people laugh at Annabel Karmel and the way she makes teddy bear shaped sandwiches, for example, but I think she has created some fantastic recipes to tempt not just children but adults too!

I've never been one for cooking, and I was never taught how to cook either.
This book has been great for learning how to enjoy cooking, and both my son and I have really benefited from it.
The recipes are simple, and I still dip into the book now, even though my son's older, for inspiration. The pages are covered in food splashes and half of them are repaired with sellotape, a sign of a well used, well loved receipe book :o)

a great little book that gives loads of ideas for lunches of all types.
The book covers everything from sandwiches to salads and sweet treats. The recipies are easy to follow and fairly simple with lots of info regarding the time things take to prepare and what can be frozen or made in advance.
There aren't many pictures so if you need them to guide you when cooking you might want to try a different book - but the instructions are clear and they do work. Given the number and range of recipies this book includes its easily one of the best value buys for lunch box recipies.

with my littlun just starting to need proper packed lunches i ordered this book in desperation as half of the contents of the sandwich box came back opened, mangled, rejected.
even if you don't follow the recipes (and they are simple simple simple!) they're great ideas to tweak.
if, like me, you have no imagination in the food prep department, i'd absolutely recommend this.

I am a huge Annabel Karmel fan and after her Favourite Family Meals book, this comes second. I use this book for inspiration constantly. Our favourites are the paella, the prawn korma, the Singapore noodles and the meatball recipes. I also do a lot of baking and find Annabel Karmel's cake/ biscuit recipes to be the most delicious all around. I don't just use this book "after school" for my two children, it is used for the whole family and even for the odd dinner party. The glazed salmon with couscous is gorgeous for a "grown up" meal! I also find this book really useful in my role as a teaching assistant as we often use the recipes for inspiration.

I had heard of this book a few years back when my son was 2. For his 3rd birthday party, I made a whole host of scrumptious food from the book, which not only looked fabulous, but was very easy to do, and tasted absolutely fantastic. Lots of healthy, fun and delicious recipes for all the family to enjoy.I also used this book for my daughter's 1st birthday party, and everyone loved it! I already have Annabel's 'baby and toddler cook book' and the 'meal planner' and I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that Annabel Karmel's Complete Party Planner was the only one I wanted to use for my children's parties! Thanks Annabel! Looking forward to the next book!
