I read this on a 9 hour flight to Cuba and although it killed a few hours, I won't be reading it again in a hurry. The dialogue is pretty poor, I didn't relate to any of the characters and it's ending was very poor. Watch the film Flood, it has the same story and it is miles better.

I have been into SAS fiction and non-fiction for some years now, and have read Ryan's, McNab's and Michael Asher's books on the Bravo Two Zero mission. I must firstly admit to having nearly had my fill of the whole ex-SAS hardguy fiction genre now, but I bought this in an airport when I just wanted to sit down and read something that's nothing more than a bit of fun. I had my fun - but had no satisfaction finishing the book; I felt that I had wasted precious hours instead of that feeling of achievement one should experience at the end of a good novel.

Personally, I have never really liked books that include action in them. However as soon as I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. Everytime you think that Chris Ryan can't possibly think of anything more exciting to put into this book, something spectacular happens on the next page. You are left in suspense the whole way through and are immediatley drawn to the characters of Alpha Force. When you have read this book you just want to go out and buy the rest of the series (which I did). All of the Alpha Force books are really good, and I would definatley recommend them to anyone.

I thought Rat Catcher was an amazing book. I read Survival and thought "This is alright, you know." But when i read Rat Catcher, while sitting in on Christmas Eve, completely bored, it was amazing and i couldn't put it down. It's my sort of story, Rat Catcher is.
In Rat Catcher, Alpha Force (Alex (uk) Li (China/UK) Paulo (Argentina) Hex (uk) and Amber (USA)) Travel to Ecuador to take on a drug baron who is using street rats to ferry drugs to customers, then when the kids return he kills them. They are also looking after a girl who's brother was killed at the very beginning of the book. There is an amzing twist at the end, and it really keeps you hooked. I have read a few McNab books and they don't disappoint although I find they end a bit quickly, plenty of action though a good read.

From the first page you are drawn into the story and you can't put it down.I was excited by every word. Strick back the newist book by cris ryan. like Andy Mcnab but better, very serouis, full of actoin from S.A.S to on the steerts to Afghanistan and back to S.A.S. The text is big so you can see it and you dont loss were you are. if your out of Andy Mcnab, Jony 'Two combs' Horward and caeron spence this is the book for you, code red adventure for yong chilldern. luck has changed for jhon Porter. All is fine untill he gets fired for somthing he didn't do!!!!
