This has to be the best and most addicting game ever! I love it. It reminds me when I was younger (about 8-10 y.o) when I used to go to the pub with my dad and his friend, I'd make them play it with me all the time and 'bet' money, because I was only young, I obviously had no money, so if they won they got nothing, but whenever I won, they'd give me 50p, I used to leave the pub about a tenner up, haha. I've been trying to find this game for ages, could never find it anywhere, never thought to look on Amazon! So happy I've found it again.

a portable fun game for boys and girls who can count.
you have so many trimonoes at the start of the game and haev to match the numbers at the edges to ones already down. You then add the totals. I f you can't go you can buy stock from the "bank" but at a cost. Even my 4 year old has a pretty good go at it. >>More Details |

There are thousands of new games every year. Most of them disappear without a trace. Some acquire a devoted but small following. Just a few become classics. Rummikub is one these.
Invented in Romania in 1940, Rummikub is essentially a tile version of the traditional card game Rummy. It didn't really make it internationally until the 1970s, but by 1980 it had won a string of awards and established itself as a great family game. Basically, it's about creating sets of three or more in a row of tiles either in runs of the same colour (1-2-3-4 etc), or the same number but in different colours. Great game to play even with just two people. Easy to store and helps your Maths skills( adding up!) You need to get all combinations of dice on your score card and if all the numbers on the dice are the same then you have YAHTZEE! Bonus points! i have had it three times in a go! good game to play when you dont really know what to do with yourself.

This might call itself Scrabble Original, but it isn't. The Scrabble sets I played on as a lad all had wee holes in the board and pegs on the tiles so that the game wouldn't be ruined by the slightest knock. Sadly no more. It also comes in a stupidly huge box to make storage unnecessarily awkward. Disappointing.

I saw this item on Amazon and instantly jumped up with joy.

I find the naivety of the "I lost because I rolled a 4..." comment startling.
I loved this game as a child and played it often, I now have children of my own and we play it. In all the hundreds of games I have played over the years only a very small percentage was bad luck the deciding factor in the game and I cannot think of a single game when a game was won because of good-luck. There is an element of chance in the game but there is far and away more skill and strategy than chance. Any player that is out because he rolled a 4 rather than a 5 had probably lost the game a long time ago and that was just the killing blow.
