I have personally found 'Tiger' to be the most efficient OS X to date, and therefore a real favourite for a couple of years when I was working in a graphics department. Their is no doubt Leopard is a beautiful upgrade, containing a stated "300+ upgrades", however, it is by no means essential if you Mac is work work purposes. The extra features we've found are not for the productive side of things, but more for consolidating files, making things visually look better, and a few notable new programs.
In short, Leopard would no doubt be a great update for the Media orientated users, but if you're all work and no play, it's actually not that essential. "Snow Leopard" has already been announced for next year anyway, and was stated would improve performance ... Read More: >>More Details |

This product is a godsend. I switched to a iMac last year and haven't looked back since. It's a HUGE improvement over version 2 which I also reviewed. Coherence is a life saver! I can run and launch Windows programs from my Mac desktop. It's so easy to switch between them. Copy and paste text, images etc. I have only 2GB ram, 2.16 GHZ processor and a 250 GB HD. It runs so effortless and easy. It only took half-hour to install. And I haven't had any problems with it since I've been using it. And it's been a couple of months at least.
An improvement over Version 2 apart from Coherence is the ability to run Direct X 8.1 games. That wasn't available on Version 2 and I've managed to get Prey to run among others. While the latest PC games won't work, it does provide some ... Read More: >>More Details |

ok, this product is truly awesome, leopard is innovative, user friendly, most people wont have TOO much trouble getting used to it, after a good few months at the most you'll know exactly what your doing, and you'll love your macbook!
Pros - MAC OSX, more fun, more appealing to the eye. Drag and drop feature greatly enhanced in retrospect to windows OS's! Cons. MSN! msn versions are not the best at all, Mercury Messenger is the only one which supports webcams! The magsafe charger is awesome BUT! beware i've read ALOT on the internet about this issue and it actually happened to me too, i didnt think it would but it did. I bought a MacBook some months back for University/Music production, and got iLife to go with it. Whilst overall, their are a number of genuinely positive outlooks to be had, the bundle is not without it moral flaws.
Getting straight into the good points, their is one universal feature that is striking; all the programs are incredibly easy to use, and not hungry on your performance. GarageBand is a joy to use for playing my MIDI keyboard and recording demo's, whilst iPhoto is a rather near program for collating your albums. iWeb is simply fantastic as it's so easy to plan and design web-site with multiple hyperlinks, photo's, video's, and plenty of other features you normally take for granted, whilst iMovie is also excellent quality, in terms of its features. Probably like most of you reading this, i had just made the leap to mac, leaving behind the likes of Windows, Office, Studio 8 for PC. The cost of conversion was daunting. Then i saw this little gem, and thought i had nothing to lose. Not only did i get a free upgrade to V2, i was completely astonished by the intergration. I have high hopes of most things i order and frequently feel let down, but not with this. It fulfills all my needs and more. Yes, letting go of Windows isn't easy, but with this on you Mac you can have your cake and eat it. When Outlook fires up on you Mac desktop and completely integrates with your WIFI, Bluetooth, ICam etc it really is impressive. I can now wean myself off Bill Gates cashflow and become an Applephile.
