it wasn't until Disturbia and Take A Bow that i became a fan of this smashing R n B star....and i saw this album for a great pice and i got it.
Umbrella was an awesome lead single but it didn't persuade me to buy the album the first time round. but now this release was out...i had to get it....and my gosh is it an amazing album. it's the equivalent of Michael Jacksons' THRILLER album...amazing stuff. Madonna did it with Like A Prayer....now Rihanna the r n b equivalent has done it...and made it entirely personal and extremely enjoyable. while Britney Spears CIRCUS is gonna knock it off the top spot as the album of 2008(i'm sure it may do so as Womanizer is spectacular)...for now Good Girl Gone Bad is definately ... Obviously designed for the younger generation, Step Up 2: The Streets is a well choreographed and fast paced movie that has less of the drama of the first, but a lot more of the message, 'It's not what you have, it's what you make of what you have'.
The storyline was lacking a lot after the first, but I found the dancing and the rawness of this film a lot better than the first. It seems a lot less polished than the first also (Perhaps due to style of dance or new directing), but nethertheless it's a good film. The dance scene at the end was truly something and much better than anything in Step Up, although the rain involved played a big part im this. Here it is, the NOW series' "greatest hits" if you may...
I am sure it was a difficult process picking the songs for such a milestone collection. You can not please everyone and there will be dozens of songs people will feel should have been there. Perhaps a 4 or 5 CD collection would have been a better idea to cover such a long period of hits. It seems that each CD in the collection is devoted to one decade of music, which is not a bad idea. But why not have the songs in their chronological order while you're at it? To comment on the songs that are on it they are sure to bring back memories for people growing up in the 80s and the 90s. With two successful movies (and soundtracks) behind them, the original cast of High School Musical came together one last time to sing, dance, and act together. And fans of the first two will enjoy this soundtrack just as much as the others.
As you'd expect, the music ranges from pop to rock to Broadway to hip hop and back again. And I guess I've gotten used to it because even the more hip hop tracks don't bother me as much this go around. Of course, all the songs have a pop based that will appeal to the core audience of pre-teens. They know where their bread is buttered. Now You're Gone - The Album
Absolutely superb album. Wasnt sure what to expect but this album takes me away into a dreamlike state everytime i play it. Have been using it to train to for the past month and it really is such a motivational and uplifting album. If you want to drift away into another dimension then this album will take you there excellent for cardio workouts really pushes you trust me just try it out and see its given a whole new boost to my workouts in an uplifting and euphoric way.
