- Way better than "tupperware"!
I bought these because of all of the reports about plastics leaking into your food when you microwave plastic containers. Best purchase ever! The variety of sizes are perfect. The lids fit very tight, which is great when you're transporting soup as I often do in the winter. I use them almost daily!

- Broken glass
I know Pyrex makes a great product of which I highly recommend. However, I ordered this set from Amazon and received a box that I knew was in bad shape before I opened it-you could just hear the broken glass. I was upset at the lack of packaging but Amazon quickly sent a replacement set which is where my real complaint starts. 2nd set also made that familiar broken glass sound. No real protective packaging. A strip of like 4 (deflated upon arrival) air pouches hardly is enough to protect all sides of a box containing glass. Amazon refunded my money but all I really wanted was the Pyrex I had originally ordered in the first place. Time wasted. Now the price has gone up over $12 within a week and I'm still without what I originally wanted. ... Read More:

I got these because I was becoming concerned about plastics leaching chemicals into my food. These still have plastic lids, but the portion that is in contact with the food is all glass. They're incredibly sturdy, and the seal is very tight.

I would give the Pyrex 5 stars but the lids are hard to get on. Pyrex gives you so many more options than plastic and with no worries of plastic "bleeding" into your food. I plan on getting more Pyrex.

I really love the ability to store food in glass containers . I like all the sizes availible in this set, but the covers are too small and rigid. I cannot get on or off. Even my 6' 3" 200 lb son had a difficult time with them. Perhaps, Pyrex should revisit their Corelle line and make the covers like those...
